Try driving the Hope/Princeton in BC in an 87 RX-7 with summer tires, no alternator, and no lights or heat to preserve the battery as long as we could. We spun out on almost every corner, and we were only doing 10k. It wasn't snowing until we hit the pass, then it dumped about 20 centimeters in 6 minutes. We almost drove off a cliff once, the e-brake saved us. And the battery died and pulled is into a ditch filled with compacted snow so we just bounced off but were sideways and had to charge up.

I should probably also mention that semi's were flying by us at 100km/h and since the battery is on the left side of my car, we had to get the Tiburon facing the wrong way down the hill and stand outside in -30 with jumpers and the snowflakes hitting us like razorblades. We didn't even make it the whole way. We stayed in Manning Park overnight. The car ride from hell, if there ever was one.
