The name the rumba is ventilador.

  • excellent video!

  • Yes!! I was looking for this thank you so much!

  • will tapping without a tap board installed ruin my guitar?

  • @RelayPanel No,don't worry, just don't slam the damn thing, just softly tap it so that it produces the sound you need :D

  • Your nails made me stop watching the video.

  • @howdiduges All the great masters have finely managed nails to get the clean sound you would normally get with a pick. That way you always have your 'pick' with you wherever you go.

  • @PresAndrewJackson the greatest masters don't need nails

  • @spyclanhectic Only if they desire the sound from their guitar that they cannot produce without.

  • @PresAndrewJackson even with long nails, your skin is going to touch the strings. You don't need long nails to play in the rumba stiyle. It helps a little but there are certain sounds that you don't want from ur nails. at 0:09 for example, your nails make a nasty noise from hitting the strings. Your technique still remains to be pretty good.

  • @spyclanhectic Agreed. But you have to admit that the flesh of your finger tips cannot produce the same clean sound that your nails do. Maybe it is more noticeable in picking than strumming though. And yeah i can definitely say that i understand the 'nasty noise' you talk about, i hate it when that happens to me. Such a mood killer.

  • is difficulty

  • Just incredible to watch. Awesome.

  • ohh shit :| ...if i could do that..ohh the things id be capable of loll danmm man the guitar cant handle it haha great jobb styll

  • Must I take a spanish guitar to do this, or can I use my acoustic ? (I think I could learn rumba with an acoustic guitar but I may make mistakes so I need advices from expert minds)

    Thank you.

  • thank you for the help !

  • he's definately NOT using steel strings.

  • Spanish guitar is not the same as an acoustic guitar. Spanish guitar 3 steel strings and 3 nylon strings, and it has 12 frets "Out of the body". acoustic guitar has (Normally) the 6 strings made of steel, an (normally) 14 or more frets "out of the body".

You can play this with your acoustic guitar, sure, but it's better an spanish guitar.

  • no you are also not quite correct, sorry. The Flamenco guitar is also a type of acoustic guitar, but has six nylon strings and is made of lighter wood, like cypress on the body. They used gut strings up till the late thirties or early forties. I wonder why I hear so many people on youtube playing flamenco with steel strings? I guess it's not against the law lol

  • no, if you look closer, he uses nylons

  • thanks for the lesson

  • hey my guitar is very "flamencita"

my nails are made by a nailstudio
