When I heard Kristen was in a band before she joined Hole I immediately went to track the music down and alas, Janitor Joe! I have their stuff on cassette. What a bassist!! great and talented and I think she was with Kurt at some point who knows.. I did read somewhere online that Courtney used to do her laundry at her apartment off Capitol Hill and used to chain smoke obsessively and used to look really angry all the time, and never let her know that she was coming over!!
During Cobain's last days, he is also believed to have spent time at his second home (which was being built) in Carnation, Washington-where a sleeping bag was found. Next to it was a picture of the sun drawn in black ink above the words "Cheer Up", and an ashtray filled with cigarettes - one brand was Cobain's, the other wasn't. It is reported the 2nd brand had lipstick...who's do you think that was? Hmm...
it's soooo obvious how extremely talented kristen was...when people muse that kurt wrote most of live thru this, i wonder why they don't consider the very real possibility that it's was plenty of kristens' talent coming thru...plus i've heard tapes of "palm" ( a project K was working on b4 she was pushed into the 'hole' abyss..) and it was amazing...somewhere she's rockin w/ kurt & the rest....
@holeleech Courtney knew Kurt had a girlfriend and he was going to divorce Courtney and leave Seattle at the same time Kristen was going to leave Seattle n Hole When Kurt died Kristen was really sad n ready to leave Hole to work with her band again she died in that day! Maybe she was da girlfriend n thats Y Courtney was so jealous of Kristen, cause Kurt called her beautiful, a beautiful soul and lent her a book called "Perfume" and they were very close... Perhaps they worte some songs together!
Kristen Pfaff is the best bass player that most people have never heard of. And that's a shame, because she was AMAZING. The word "beautiful" doesn't even do her justice...
