Can't go wrong with the 6mm rem.It's a 243 bullet with more powder in the casing.It's all I use and I have never had a deer go over 5 yards.

I prefer the all American 30-06 Springfield myself. Recoil matters little to me and I hand load so it is a very diverse round. Everything from whistle pigs to bear.

I don't know about the 25-06, I'm going hunting with it today, so I'll see how it works. So far the .270s been my best gun.

Sweet. We have a 25-06 and it rocks. Killed almost all my deer this year running and dropped in there tracks. i got 7 does and a buck about like yours. Thats the power of a 25-06.

yep... my uncle has one its my favorite antelope gun but i love my 30-06 for anything from rabbits to bears lol cuz its easy to shoot and cheap

Great buck. I know what you mean by being proud of a deer. I was blessed this year to have a 35 point walk under my stand during black powder in Ok.
