@jgk381 Chi Chi is about 10? I'd have to check... She came regularly to the refuge for "birdy-sitting" so her people could have a vacation. Wendy noticed she was in obvious pain, refusing to put weight on her one leg. Our vet discovered she had cancer in her hip. An amputation saved Chi Chi's life. Subsequently her owners agreed the she should live at the refuge and some very special volunteers donated over $2,000 towards her medical bills.
Your wonderful for taking care of her, why did she have to have it amputated? How old is she? Are you her original owner?
