The player, Arthur Phillips, must escape the facility in a plane with a mounted gun, but the Combine sends Gunships and Striders after you. @TheMeekl Well yes, but the thing is that I think the name just changed. In HL its called the Gauss Gun, but then in HL2 Alyx says that the jeep has the Tau Cannon Mounted on it. Its better to consider thats its the Tau Cannon, because its called that in a game that comes later, obviously meaning that Tau Cannon is its name now.

@Scat495. Shephard is very popular among Half-life fans. I would totally love to see him in the HL2:EP3 facing Gordon, the man HECU was supposed to kill. He hears his name in Opposing force and he even saw him jumping to the Xen teleport. Opposing Force is one of the greatest expansions ever and at least for that, i would accept Shephard in the upcoming Valve games.

@5uomalainen Opposing force was almost as long as HL and a fun expansion including the new aliens and guns, i was only disapointed with a few parts, they dint have enough zombies.And the alien battle is to original. other than that i think its best expansion ever for any game, and they need to reintroduce shephard in HL2 EP3 as either a playable character, where in the middle or beggining learned that Gordon was good all along. So that it would switch or have 2 campaigns for each character. :D

@vidman429 Nah, I think original Half-Life was much scarier, because of the monsters of Xen, but then again I was only like 9-10 years old when Half-Life was released and I first played it. Especially Gargantuas scared the shit out of me, I hope Valve would return at least those in HL: Ep3 or Half-Life 3. But sure Half-Life 2 had some creepy momemnts as well,like Ravenholm and the moment you mentioned in episode 1, where you have to fight zombies in totally black room while waiting for elevator.
