  • i have been reading all comments...i am 34 and music is my passion..i am go for it...i love the violin and my goal now is to study music i do not have words to explain how amazing i feel when i hear this instrument specifically, mixed with others...this is my passion and i will do it to satisfy myself my cels my brains my body cause music get into me so deeply..and i do not know how far i will go what i know this will make me the happiest woman ...and i am 34 maybe i am late but.i prefer to try

  • NO WORDS....GREAT BRAVOOOOOO

  • uuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! vivaldi mis covers seran una basura a lado de la realeza de tu musica

  • the Bass'es -celle e Contrebassi is to lating...

  • Absolute brilliance.

  • what an awful soloist.

  • hey guys. got a little question and may you can help me. i'm 15 years old and i want to learn violin. Is this too old to start?...and is there hope for me to play this sometimes (i know i have too learn hard) I just heard about these kids starting with 4 years etc...thx guys (and sry for my bad english)

  • @LiketheDeath616 No it's not too old to start. Take no notice of people who might tell you it is. However I do recommend you find a teacher to get you started so that you acquire a good posture along with a good a right and left hand technique. A teacher will also help you choose a reasonable violin which will suit your needs. An electric violin is also worth considering especially if you share a house and have neighbors. It will stop people wanting to murder you when you are practicing!

  • @DrMontague i dont know violent so much,, but i can tell u doesnt matter that u cant, now,,, if u will try by all ur heart u might be better than vivaldi itself,,, they became so famouse because they love what they do... so if u do really want just do it..

  • I believe it is never to late to start, so long that you are motivated and can work hard for this, then if u really want it, go for it! its a sum game! Just make sure you can get good pieces of advice by a teacher! Good luck.

  • realistically

unless u have prior musical experience

then it IS too late in most cases, depending on how hard you work.

  • @theothercanadian it depends on your enthusiasm, dedication and natural ability. You might not get to be the worlds best but you can be competent musician..

  • i know you can still be a competent musician, but he specifically said this piece, so....

  • i also did say that it depends on how hard you work. in most cases the musicians that turns out doesnt play much. aaron copland for example started studying piano at 13, and he was a well known composer. other ppl may end up becoming a luthier.

if of course you are just planning on playing for fun and you dont care how far you get, go for it. music is healthy for ALL ages.

  • @DrMontague No it is not too late to start... I started this year at 37 , if you work hard and learn some music first you wil play no doubt... music is alive because people play it so go ahead and play !!

    do not think twice

  • @theothercanadian

Oh wow, shut up. It's never too late to play ANY kind of instrument. There are people that play since they're 10 and they are still total garbage, and there are people that pick it up in their 30s and become experts. Age is of no importance, especially in learning an instrument. Hell, it's better if you're older, because at least you do it because you're PASSIONATE, not because someone forced you to when you were a child.

  • @dash1dash2

Age is of importance. I am passionate, and I'm going to be studying music in university next year. I'm going to play in Carnegie hall in a month.

Unfortunately I only switched over to my instrument a year and a half ago, so I know myself that it's too late for me to play at the level that I want to play at.

The reason is that I'm now 18. I personally know people that are better than me, and played at my level when they were 14 or 15. In getting a job, I can't compete with them.

  • This has nothing to do with violin, but I learned how to play the electric guitar when I was 18 and by now I can play this song :) that's why I was here!

It's never too late to do anything! Just get the instrument and find a teacher then start playing all day long :)

  • well i was watching this vid because of my guitar too :D

  • It is late, but not too late. I didn't start until I was 16, but still managed to obtain a bachelor's degree in violin performance, and reach a pretty high level of ability.

  • @LiketheDeath616

No, not at all! I mean it depends on what u want to do with it. I have a friend, he started playing the violin when he was 19 years old, now he is over thirty, still playing and i have to admit he plays better than me and i started when i was 8 years old. he really wanted it, and i should add that he was already playing the piano before he switched to violin. give it a try!!! all the best for u!

  • @LiketheDeath616 I personally believe it is never too late to start

  • @LiketheDeath616 my teacher told me that you gotta learn when your little. unless you already play the cello, or better yet, the viola, and/or have a really good ear, id say youre too late

  • @LiketheDeath616 Sorry to extend this already long comment thread, but I have to say this.

Its never too late to start learning ANY instrument or skill. Fuck age, don't let some number limit what you can and can't learn. If you truly are interested in learning the violin, or any other skill, just DO IT

  • @LiketheDeath616

This thread is 11 months old now, which begs the questions: Did you start? How are you doing? & Did you find you was too old?

  • @LiketheDeath616

You are worried about learning violin with 15 years? I'm 21 and i want to learn piano. Is it too late? Never's too late, though i know i won't be able to play "The flight of the bumblebee"

  • @AndrusPr8 Practice the flight of the bumble bee slow and gradually increase it's speed. Use sequencing software and download the flight of the bumble bee as a midi file,. play along with the Midi file.. Play a couple of bars at a time Try playing right hand only. Then leave it for a week but keep on returning to it. Don't sicken yourself. Keep at it and you'll play it.

  • @AndrusPr8

Hey, I started electric guitar last year (when I was 19) and I'm not far away from mastering the bumblebee. I just play a lot in my spare-time and I get better and better, faster and more secure!

To all those who want to start making music: don't hesitate! Do what you want and take those 4-years-old musicans as a challange. Why should I not become a Michael Batio or a Della Vega, why not?

  • a masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is when i see how movies and commercials deviate the real meaning of the music

  • @luisfcoliveira

    yeah like Infinity cars......

  • ahh im not too into clasic music, but i really like this one :)

  • the last of the winter and this one are the best! love them!!

  • same opinion

  • This third part is indeed the best part of summer! Thanks for posting!

  • i liek this 3rd part best...one good version (but not as good as this wonderful famous one) is the version of alexi laiho and roope latvala...just search for "vilvaldi alexi laiho" on youtube

  • I always have Summer mistakenly thought of as Autumn. Probably it is due to the intro tempo, which makes me relate to the hurrily depart of the summer and the leaves...

  • Oh, well yes! It's wonderful,but... not too alarming melody for a major summer?

  • just one word:

    sublime!

  • Not the best performance I've heard =/ The soloist sounds a bit scratchy and is slightly out of tune at points. It almost sounds like he has a mute on his violin...

    Still, love this movement!

  • cool piano.

  • Best movement in the Four Seasons!!!!

And the second best in the first movement in Autumn!

  • jejej i prefer the last of the winter, but a nice movement too =D

    jejejeje

  • awesome!!!

  • this song is oooo amazing to play and it's sooo exciting i love it!!!!

  • i like this better than spring I which i never really liked that much

  • Intense... just like Vivaldi.

  • I think Summer III and Winter I are just breathtaking, though Summer I is also amazing... It's like the Four Seasons can actually relate through music all the phases of feelings and thoughts that a human being can experience as life begins, advances and ends... Thank God for Vivaldi

  • Brave

  • gratest composer ever is vivaldi not just for classic i think this is not classical music this real music

  • this is real music just cause its classical music, m8 ;)

  • actually vivaldi was was from the baroque period, so this is baroque music

I love this part from the movement! :)

  • I think that this is Vivaldi's best peice he composed. It sounds like he put alot of himself into the music

  • oh I can't help but to play it over and over, the craftsmanship of this master, and the impression it has made, and to some still does today!!

The only thing I can say about the musicians; anyone who can successfully carry out this song should be recognised by the world. I wish people would just learn how to listen to this, because this is true art, this is what changes the world.

  • I stand corrected by myself, I didn't mean song, I meant passage, or whatever it's called ^_^

  • amazing just beautiful only if todays musicians had talent and not just a mixer and computer generated sound effects and lets not forget the lip-syncing

  • What a contrived view of modern music. You really haven't looked far beyond electronic acts, have you? Karl Jenkins, Yundi Li and several progressive acts more than prove that this level of musicianship still exists.

  • in all reality i dont know who they are but all you here these days is just that, electronics

  • they exist, just don't get appreciated, that's the problem, they play what the people like, and most don't like this.

I'm freaking 19 and I see the artsmanship in not only the composer, but anyone who can perform like this to be honest!!!

  • You know you don't have to be a classical musician to have talent. True that today there are many lip singers, but there are many out there with true talent. It's upsetting to see how close minded you are about modern music. Think of generated sound affects as a skill and way to spread your creativity. :D

  • Philip Glass. Koyaanisqatsi !

  • good point but you know it is sad about the whole lip sincing but i know what you mean i listen to a lot of different types of music and i know i was being closed minded sorry

  • Oh...no need to apologize ^^;

Just glad to see we're on the same page :)

  • I don't agree creativity has any part of this, anybody can be creative, this is not a piece of art, this is a masterpiece

  • Without creativity I don't think it's possible to compose such a pretty peice =.=

It is only my opinion :D

  • anybody can be creative, but it's the skillsmanship and born talent that makes a piece of art like this.

Nowadays a golden ball on a marble plateau is a piece of art, wich I actually see as no skillsmanship, mondriaan's chair I don't really see as art either.

Art and design have lost the boundary that devides eachother, and that's the whole problem, what was truly art ( venus of milo for instance, or michelangelo's david ) and what's art nowadays ( Andy warhol's cambell's soup can )

  • Song???, no, is a concerto.

  • Sehr schön ! Ich Liebe Vivaldi !!

  • Viva Antonio VIVAldi!!!

  • MAGNIFICO.

  • just awesome!!

  • my favorite

  • 1:34 is the best part ^^ i love her ^^

  • 1:19 perfect ...

  • i wanna play this song... 5*

  • this one is my favorite ...

  • very very good

  • this is the most pleasent beautiful usic ever to be played on the violin no one could make up a better song to this day

  • I have to admit that this performance and the one from the munich philarmonic are the best I ever heard of this particular work.

  • I agree. He might not be as flash as Kennedy but he certainy captures the feel of the seasons. The orchestra I think are perfect players for piece. They get inside Vivald's head.

  • This guy plays a mean violin, let's face it.

  • He BARELY made mistakes! I tried this song before for my school concert and it is very hard. He made like 0 mistakes. It took 2 months to really "perfect" this song. So he did really good!

  • There is nothing wrong in making a mistake, it happens to the greatest musicians, even Paganini. The simplest thing to ask is did this rendition of the four seasons enthrall you. I hope it did.

  • I think the audio/video synch is off but that's fine. It sounds great

  • I don't think it's off at all. Anyway I love this song, Vivaldi was awesome.

  • Yeah, this song is freakin great... I just think its a bit hard to watch because I pay attention to his technique... and it throws me off unless theres some secret thing i'm not in on...

  • yeah i agree with you rhoads

  • This piece is very nice. It sort of gives you a steady flow of adrenaline and calmness.

  • Me gusta la vivacidad de esa parte del Verano de Vivaldi.

  • this is better than maxim vengerov, for my

  • your??

  • Would any of you tell me the name of this group? Thank you : )

  • Performed by the Montpellier Strings

    Soloist: Raymond Cohen

    1981

  • creo q esta es la parte q mas me gusta de las 4 estaciones =)

  • lo maximo en maestria !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:41-1:49 me encanta esa parte

  • the greatest movement of Summer ! awsome !

  • this may be a very naive, and stupid qeustion to ask...but its been bugging me, how come they have to have sheet music (not that it matters) but i thought they already knew how to play the piece. Or is just for like support incase they forgget or sumtin???

  • just because you know a piece you have to keep timing and details such as dynamics and accidentals in consideration that is why they refer to the music. The soloist of a concerto shouldn't need the music because it is their showcase.

  • yeah its support. When you are playing at a concert and getting 10,000 for it you don't want to fuck it up, especially when there are hundreds people in the audience. soloist sometimes do blank and freeze because it is sometimes overwhelming!

  • subtle for summer but the playing was very well in sync, very controlled! Love it.

  • OMG, this is so nicely played, i wish i could be there to hear! :D

  • 1:15-1:19 had a unique sound to it, but there wasn't enough power in the performance, it lacked strong accents and was generally very plain and flaccid.

  • i wish the karajan was still up

  • lmao flaccid

  • yes, flaccid

  • cudowne!

  • Amazery!

  • je jubile.

  • I'm in ecstasy when I hear it. Brilliant!

  • try "Zadar Chamber Orchestra #2", Stefan Milenkovich is playing, unfortunately it is a bad video, but violin playing is fabolous..

  • Is it just me, or did the second violins sound just a tad bit weak? They were all amazing, I loved the soloist, but I just felt that the second violins weren't quite as loud as they should have been.

    Am I just imagining this?

  • Please dont take this the wrong way but yes u are. I respect your opinion but they probably played that way mostly because it's probably hwo they interpreted it. Its up to their own interpretation. Thats how music was done bac then

  • spielt mit noten und trotzdem noch unsauber teilweise... gibt bessere aufnahmen

  • retard

  • Whether it sounds better on the guitar [Electric or Acoustic] is in matter of pure opinion.

If you prefer metal or rock, I do suppose you would suppose it sound better on guitar.

If you prefer classical music, then you would most likely like the original better.

    But nothings better than anything.

Its all a matter of opinion.

    --Vindictive Vincent--

  • Genialne :)

  • To Polacy też słuchają muzyki klasycznej? ;] Widzę, że nie jestem wyjątkiem. ;p

  • Cóż to za dziwny komentarz? Myślałeś, że wszyscy słuchają Dody?

  • Przyznam, że tak myślałem.

  • A true masterpiece!

  • I wish I could've see vivaldi perform this himself! A true violin virtuoso...oh how I miss thee!!!:'(

  • "I wish I could've see vivaldi perform this himself" - one of the most incredible ideas ever, i couldnt even begin to imagine, thank you for your input! :-).

  • bellisimo

  • sounds great

  • I Love this part, it reminds me Florence during Renaissance.

  • perfect

  • awesome

  • Owning

  • It is genuine Power Metal!! (Baroque Style)
