If I was boosted, I wouldn't be reading vacuum, I'd be reading boost. Because I have a N/A build, monitoring vacuum to ensure I don't have any leaks or enough vacuum for the brakes is mildly important.
It's a '94 Camaro with a '97+ interior - check out all my other videos. Vacuum gauge is just a good thing to have because LT1s are notorious for vacuum leaks.
from looking at the defrost vent and the fender coming over to meet the mirror like that, it looks like an F body, possible 4th gen and yes he needs it lol
i had such a big cam in my camaro that i had one to the manifold and one to my vacuum boost of the brakes so i knew if i should rev to give the booster more vac hahaha
Engines create vacuum - this is a gauge that measures it. The opposite of vacuum is boost - turbos create boost, non-forced induction engines create vacuum.
@vettecore Google it. ;) I bought the pillar and had to choose 3 gauges. Of all the gauges offered, vacuum wasn't my 1st or 2nd choice but it was better than the other choices I had so that's what I went with. Too many LT1s with vacuum leaks as one of the possible engine problems so with my vacuum gauge I know what vacuum I have learned what my vacuum gauge normally reads and if it seems to be off I know I have a vacuum leak somewhere.
@bmeissen Got it... Thanks for the info... Man I love LT1's
I used to have a 94 corvette... To me the LT1 with it's flaws is a masterpiece of an engine....Now that I think about it has only one flaw it has is the distributor issue other than that it's one of the best engines in history.

@bmeissen And why is this good to have in your car? I've seen vacuum gauges installed in lots of cars! How would this help?
