Usually bands that are owned by major labels are created to sell records, mostly because they have pretty faces and maybe a pretty voice. But the majority of what you hear on their albums, is the relentless work of the producers to take trash and turn it into gold. Bands like Mother Mother, Grizzly Bear, Said The Whale, etc. are true blue musicians who can sometimes record an amazing song in one take.

It blows my mind how biased and democratic the music industry is these days.

how the hell can you compare this band to radiohead? i'm sorry but not even close, i really like this band and their pop music sounds fucking awesome but radiohead is not in the business of pop music if you look at a majority of their music, two different genres and really two different goals. if you want to see depth and passion in the lyrics then you're going to go to radiohead, if you want to hear something that's going to make you feel good and maybe even dance then you'll find mother mother
