I don't like the plasticuffs as they are bloody easy to put on too tightly and stop the blood flow.

also suspects can get out of too easy if not searched properly, ie: a lighter will burn through that thin plastic. and a REALLY tough guy could most likely to be able to snap his way out.

I'd say you make sure to hide the pin in the seem of your pants.. would be clever to perhaps have more than one tho.. so that you still can do this even if the pin accidentaly is lost or something like that.. but i think a wool thread is able to cut trough the plastic aswell.. as it have a much higher tolerance for friction and heat:)

if they used riot cuffs on you, you are most likely facing a misdemeanor charge (minor).

If this is the case why escape and face a shit laod of far more serious charges (in addition what will mostly likely be a severe beating along with mace and possible a taser)?

Worst case scenario is cop sees you escaping as a threat to his safety and you become a statistic.
