how is the andover tornado lesser there are more of the same tornado on you tube man all you did was put every one that had a tornado video and put it in to one video!!!!
To the guy who said..."My Car" during the Andover Tornado, shouldn't u be worried about ur freakin life, I mean come on now, what is more important ur life or ur stinkin car, I'd say ur life is more important at this point.. Duh.. Clueless..!!
@Josh3B Happy to say it is approaching the halfway point! I'll be honest, it wasnt going to be completed, but then i graduated a little earlier than I thought I would, so Part 2 will be out in about a week.
3:00-3:25 would make a great car insurance commercial! The video would like pause after 3:25 and say "Got good car insurance?" and take off from there. LOL! Great videos, finally not one dealing with the May 3rd,1999 F5! Those videos are every where and I've seen them all.
why would 4 people dilike this? im a big fan of disasters so much that i made up a story of a huge contenent called Puppyland and there are many disasters. i hope in the year 2015 the story comes true. i hope
@xxDEATHKILLERxx The Fujita (F) Scale was Dr. Fujita's original scale that went from F0 all the way up to F12 (Mach I). It was based on the Beaufort Scale for wind speed and used damage analysis to estimate the wind speed. The Enhanced Fujita (EF) Scale has been in use since 2007 and uses more sophisticated engineering data (assigning structures values for strength of 1-12) that takes into account the sturdiness of the destroyed structures when estimating wind speed. It goes from EF0 to EF5.
Wow, I hadn't seen that PA footage since I was a kid...and that McConnell AFB siren is the creepiest I've ever heard. I had never seen the Hesston F5. Was hoping to find some footage of the 1976 Jordan, IA F5, which I've never seen more than a few seconds of (Dr. Fujita said it was the most intense storm he'd ever observed). I've still never seen the 1982 Broken Bow, OK F5 either. And I'll gladly gobble up any footage I see of the Jarrell, TX F5 in 1997.
@LetsDoIt4Johnny1 Yes! The Jarrell Tornado is one of my all time favorites when it comes to hard to find footage. I remember a while ago in the late 90's(i had to have been like 7 or 8), there was a TLC documentary on TV, and they showed this amazing footage of the tornado that referred to the indian legend of the Dead Man Walking. I could never find that documentary or the footage, but i have been able to find some good chase video. Look for some cool footage in part 2!
The Andover Kansas tornado was rated an F5 after they accessed the level of damage it did. Remember, the F-scale is based on damage it produces with estimated wind speeds; not the size of the tornado.
you forgot to show the birmingham tornado in 1989 that was a f5 and it was a deadly tornado and the f5 in 1999 which was probably a f6 that hit oklahoma that was a huge tornado
yo that chandler one was pretty bad in minnesota they dont usually get strong tornadoes I think a camp had one two years ago it was a f3 though, the andover one was even worse it hit a pretty populated area it started weak thn got huge when it hit the base
I remember listening to the weather report as Chandler,MN was getting slammed by that nasty F5. Feeling really bad for all those who were in its path and hoping everyone would be okay.
I remember the Heston one in mid-March 1990 because at that time there was a late winter surge of record-breaking warm air over the eastern US, while cold air was banked up further west.
At 3:01, this tornado was probably a f3 cat. as it passed the base jumped in strength to an F5 cat and destroyed adove,r some other footage on YT you can see the aftermath of the base. It was not
f5 damage. But, it is said that they had several bombers on the runway with nukes on board, which the Tndo. missed.
I have heard that it fluctuated between F2 and F3 and reached F4 strength as it left the base. It didn't reach F5 until it hit Andover 20 minutes later.
Nice but the Andover nado is one of the top 5 of all time as far as its infamy. Certainly not a lesser known one. Havent see that Heston footage in forever though, thanks.
