I wish someone would make a movie about Bonnie and Clyde and show how desperate their situation was. Most of the time they were living in a stolen car and sleeping on the ground somewhere, with little to eat. The Dunaway/Beatty movie was far from the facts. It didn't even mention that Bonnie's leg was burned to the bone and that she had to be carried.

That's true about Bonnie & Clyde being in a desperate situation, at least in the last 4 or 5 months of their lives. They were pretty much living in the car, even in winter. They had gotten so "hot" (i.e., wanted) that they didn't check into motels anymore.
What they should also include in a true story about Bonnie & Clyde is how they met. It was quite ordinary, nothing that would spice up a movie, like the 1967 movie. They met through a mutual friend, like so many ordinary people do.

We all love someone who goes against oppressive authority. That's why we like Bonnie & Clyde. They were, of course, a couple of lowlife punks, but they bucked the system, and that's what counts.

Clyde didn't kill all those innocent in order to people to survive.
He did it for thrills. A lot of this pictures
of him glamorizing guns/killings/robbery were taken with him posing for them. He was proud of his evil deeds. Also, he had no young mouths to feed. Others back then did and they STILL didn't murder others for food. Clyde didn't rob grocery stores to eat. He robbed banks to get cash to buy fancy things

I wish someone would make a movie about Bonnie and Clyde and show how desperate their situation was. Most of the time they were living in a stolen car and sleeping on the ground somewhere, with little to eat. The Dunaway/Beatty movie was far from the facts. It didn't even mention that Bonnie's leg was burned to the bone and that she had to be carried.
In the photos where Clyde is holding her, it's because she couldn't stand on her own.

That's true about Bonnie & Clyde being in a desperate situation, at least in the last 4 or 5 months of their lives. They were pretty much living in the car, even in winter. They had gotten so "hot" (i.e., wanted) that they didn't check into motels anymore.
What they should also include in a true story about Bonnie & Clyde is how they met. It was quite ordinary, nothing that would spice up a movie, like the 1967 movie. They met through a mutual friend, like so many ordinary people do.

My Mom is 88 and still kickin! She was married to Mildred Hamiltons (Floyd Hamiltons Wife) brother, Harry Strait. She was friends with your Grandparents and used to go to their little store/gas station. She's always told me what nice people they were and how devasted they were with all that happened with Clyde and Buck. She continued to write back & forth with Floyd & Mildred until their deaths. She has a signed editors copy of Floyds book "Public Enemy 1" which is a great book.
