  • I'm at school sitting in front of my computer crying. :'(

  • This is horrible. I cried watching this. We will all pay for this soon. We cannot continue damaging the planet for fossil fuels, and nuclear fuel is also FOSSIL FUEL, Uranium has to be mined. Why can't we all live simple? Why do we need all these materials contraptions. Even this computer I am using, what did we do before we had them? We spent time doing other things! Why can't we get energy from the sun and the wind?? We need to live with nature NOT against her! God help us all.

  • as long as this country continues to denynative land theft, it will continue to operate under a cloud.

  • as long as this country continues to live in denial of land theft from natives, it will remain under a cloud and suffer from cultural karma.

  • I saw this filmwhen it first came out. And the US govt still is playing it's destructive games to Native people--they are just doing it more subtly this time.

  • We Navajos belong to the Athabascans of Canada & Alaska, the hopi's belong to the Uto-Aztecans of Nahuan, Mexico.

  • nvmI got my answer atabout 7.07,I should learn to be more patient

  • I don't understand the Hopiseemto be okay with it the Navajo seemto be okey with it why did they have to move?....perhaps I shoud watch the full thing first but I was just wondering

  • Oh and to add on that comment wht do you Hopis should leave Dine people alone!? Were not doing anything to you! Its the white people!! Not Hopis.

  • @tawagner14 what do you mean "NAVAJOS were here first"? Us Hopi's were here waaaaaaaaaay before the Dine came! Did you ever hear "Old Oraibi is the oldest continous living place in the U.S.A" btw thats a Hopi village. & im not trying to hate on Dine people cause ihve family thats Dine but that comment kinda pessed me off! Hopi Pride!! Second Mesa!!

  • y r white people so greedy thy r no better than nybody

  • Dine' Pride will never Die.

  • american bastards i swear they will pay for this. america one day will meet an enemy they cannot defeat and will know what it is like to be oppressed.

  • Why do the whites hate us so much? What have we done to them that they havent done to us?? If the whites had there way they would cut our mens balls off and stop us from mating so our race would end today! I am proud to be Tsa-la-gi & Be'ena'a and I will fight for not only my tribes but OUR people, we as Natives must pull togetther and become more!

  • @EthanCole15 Just to let you know, there are SOME whites who are supportive of native issues (and want to help), and recognize that great wrongs were done to native people for over 400 years.

  • > > Much Love for the Navajo & Hopi People

  • when will certain native people realize that we are shooting ourselves in the foot when nations are at odds with each other.everyone is watching us to see us fall on our faces we have to solve these issues amongst ourselves-gotta start decolonizing our minds.there are those with power hard at work trying to eliminate us as sovereign nations and waiting for us to assimilate into the greater society.what happens then?say bye-bye to traditional lands, culture and language for good.education is ans.

  • Affects of what is known as:Indian Policies(Indian Treaty rights) rights that remained after land and resources were ceded to the US.Piting tribe against tribe for limited resources-so they want you to think, just another tactic to end the"indian problem"by those that want us out of the picture.who is the real bad guy here?Knowledge is Power:learn about how gov.policies shape our lives, &make change:"Seeing Red:Anger,Sentimentality &American Indians:Christina stanciu google it.

  • why shud us Navajo ppl move!! the hopis shud just hide in their mesa like they have always done and leave us Navajos alone! after all we NAVAJO were here first!! while the hopis hide high in their mesas!!

  • they need to make a new video on black mesa and the residents living on HPL home sites... alot has changed!!!!! :) in both good and bad!!!

  • 5:00 mark...laura nyro singing!!!

  • peace my friends..

  • FUCK YOU PETER MACDONALD YOU SELL OUT!!!

  • The only reason for the move of these people is greed by the european people. They discovered minerals and such on the native peoples land, and forced them to moved. I'm white myself, and I feel utterly sorry for all that the native people have gone through. My people should start learning how to accept other cultures and races.

  • WHY: We can see the destruction, but can't see why. We are lead to believe it is for money, it is not. Native Americans, and Native Canadians had the ability to communicate with The Spirits of there ancestors, and that is what the bad guys feared, and stopped.

  • It makes me cry ... ... thank you for posting

  • Wow...I just saw my aunt Clinton...that plateau looked like a peyote button. We are still suffering...how many of my family members have I had to say goodbye to due to complications/diseases from the deadly mineral deposits that were disturbed?

  • @doriannlee

I feel with you. The wholesale destruction of indigenous people and their lands has gone global since this movie came out. The challenges seem insurmountable, but they're not. The spirits know. Those of us who chose spiritual paths that support mother nature will win in the long run, regardless of circumstances or the pains we experience. Yours have been far worse than mine.

Our good hearts and love for creation will carry us into the next world, where the real powers reside.

  • @Morningwasichu i believe there can be good without evil what do you think.

  • do you know the song in the beginning of the video.?

  • Ugh this movie made me cry!!!! I feel so bad becuz my families stuck between 2 walls. My dad works for peabody and were very traditionl. But we do need peabody on the rez becuz thats how many families get there income but once the mine's all close down what are we gonna do? Many families are gonna be without money but then again were ruining mother earth. Its hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Its a good and bad thing. In beauty we may walk.

    Faith, hope, and charity,

  • @dineblessing

Yes, I do understand. The Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill tells us the same story. The people there have had their whole lives destroyed, yet many of them are begging BP NOT to stop drilling, because without their jobs they will have no future income. The "divide and conquer" strategy has evolved so that now we are now begging for the crumbs left after livelihoods have been destroyed by the very same actors. In bed with the devil. It wears heavily on our conscience.

  • @Morningwasichu i hope that those bastards pay for what they have done.

  • @dineblessing We move forward without Peabody to live in Hozhoo. We can create power generation stations using the wind. Peabody's interests are not in Dine's favor, but in favor to their shareholders.

  • @dineblessing the hardest part is the decision! making the chocie will free your heart, then you can truly live for yourself and your people.

    may you live in grace,

  • this is how media rolls...the native voice is always silenced, glossed over or considered of no consiquence....however I believe in karma

  • @dovevabear

    I do too, Dovebear.

  • featured on blog page at hescomingsoon .. look up when you see all these things come to pass look up for your redemption draws within reach. we too are sheep in the fold of the universal family and we have a Shepard who will bring justice and restore what has been destroyed. • For the first time I saw this movie last nite , of course at 1AM. It made me so sad and upset . These poor people have gone throug hell while the Washington politicion were just haveng fun and playing games with them. I am proud that I am the first generation in the UsSand that my family had no part in this barberrian and horrifce act of a white man!

  • best vid on youtube 5/5 by the way my grandma knows hosteen nez

  • This is so sad and it shouldn't be happening. When I grow up I want to visit the reservations and give these people better equipment and housing. They really dont deserve to live like this. It is unfair because all they ever wanted was to live in their own land.

  • Very informative. This is a story in the Navajo history that needs to be told.

  • I dont mean from the native peeps,I mean from all the peeps who were fighting for civil rights for everyone.

  • Well wher ewere all the outcries from the people back then??I will tell u where it was no where

  • There actually WERE a lot of outcries back then, but very little media coverage of it.

I was part of the outrage cries, and that's why I'm posting the video. I don't want it to be forgotten. Thanks for your interest. Are you doing anything to help?

  • Stuff like this makes me ashamed to be white. My Irish ancestors came here to escape the English, a pity we did not choose a more traditional lifestyle.

  • thank you for uploading...best meds i can get!! besides the lost knowledge of my ancestors.. i had my first vision at 15 or 16 i was walking up the hill from the bus stop..a native threw a red feather that sunk into my chest and said i was from a line of warrior spirits.. now i suffer as my grandma zena did...slowly fighting this system and getting punished in the process..thank god she supported life and didnt mind shareing children!! 7 kids by 7 guys..best woman ever to me..only 4 10 1/4.!lol

  • Our people should not have been relocated. Because our grandparents life is their livestock and the only thing they know about life. It was SAD what the white people did to us and it was not RIGHT!.

  • Keep your head up Navajo cousins!!!

  • I watched this for my Native American Studies class and I cried when my professor played this documentary.

It's so heartbreaking to see a people so spiritually bonded to their land being flung around like they don't matter.

  • The time is near that Karma will seek it's revenge upon the white man. The last shall be first, the least will have the most. It is the law of the universe and it's coming!

  • im studying the navajo people in cultural studies.. .. so glad this was on there

  • thank you morning. this is heart wrenching. I live in my car and am often moved along to strange places with no community of my own with nothing familiar. It's one of the worst things you can do to a human being. How depressed they must have felt!

  • Big Mountain will live forever!

  • My grandmother resided in Howell Mesa years ago before relocating to a place where she never was able to find comfort and as of today she is without sheeps our livestocks. It is a shame to the U.S. government to put greetiness for coal over human lives.

  • The white men keep relocating us. When well this stop. It's fustrating to see my people be pushed from one place to another. I think they should just leave the Dine people alone.

  • Hey guys, I am Mexican I would love to know your land just once, . I hope one day I can go there. It is just amazing...As you'all are

  • HAY I LIVE IN BIG MOUNTAIN!

  • so happy to see this on youtube. watched this in a class in college. i have since recommended that friends rent it. and now we can share it on youtube. thanks.

  • greed, greed and more greed!!!

native people bow to God and treasure the land...politicans and corporations bow to money and screw the land ...that is the diference. GOvernment gave them the land it is theirs so back off!!!

  • @53497678 EHE!!!!!

  • I remember this airing on HBO way back when... My brother-in-law lives on the Hopi-Navajo border and it's interesting how this dispute has changed over the years from being between Navajo/Hopi & the government to Navajo vs. Hopi.

  • The yonegas schemed to dig up the coal and now the coal has caused global warming. We were right to keep what was under the earth where it belonged. The traditions of the traditional indigenous people of the earth is the only thing that can keep this earth together today.

  • it is a sad reality that to conquer a people you must try to remove all that is sacred to these people. This is your land which should remain with you. The interests of those who seek to despoil and rob these holy lands always try to push you from what is rightfully yours. I am not Native American but i am filled with revulsion that people can be treated so bad. American history=a bloody legacy of oppression and conquest. God help us to learn from the past.

  • Perhaps these times will finally turn us around.

I'm hopeful. I think the time is upon us when some of the people in power will step up to the plate.

Let's keep speaking up. Let's keep reminding people that, if we continues this way, we will finally, out of our survival instincts, recognize that - once the last tree is cut down, once the last river and oceans have been polluted - we will not be able to eat the money we've acquired along the way.

  • OMG! This is unbelievable that First Nation Peoples must deal with such atrocities. We will rise again! Thank you for sharing this so that the truth is known to all.

  • It is indeed. And how many Americans are aware of this? It breaks my heart just to think of it. Please pass it along.

  • No do not leave work with the government you control this it is your land you have the right. Be a business let them pay for what they want sell what you don't need but this is yours YOU OWN THIS LAND Do not give in this time you are AMERICANS

  • Walkingbear56 thank you for sharing this with me. And thank you Morningwasichu for this wonderful video..This must be out .. no one has the right to treat others like this. I honor you as my Aunt was an Native American and I am proud of it.

  • *****

I will share it to many people as possible.

Thanks my friend Morningwasichu and thanks to Walkingbear56 for sharing

  • Not sure why it took me so long to find this gem of a video series.. thank you for posting and for the people that are now passed that you were friends with.

How do we deal with this kind of idiocy from the governments that have taken over our human rights.

  • There's one big issue to look at. The money system. I've read so many stories about Native folks who coudn't understand the white fascination with the green frogskin or the insanity over gold. The Indians saw things without the "culturing" that whites had been subjected to. Money is just paper with a collection of symbols on it. It has no REAL value. The value is by collective agreement. When we no longer agree, it no longer has power. That's coming now. Times up on the game.

  • With you on that one... the pursuit of money as a goal in itself is nothing short of insanity.

I have no idea where it is going to take us all..should we let it. Hell on earth perhaps?

  • Were it to be continued...yes...hell on earth. Fortunately and in keeping with so many old prophecies, the spirit in the whole of mankind is awakening. The connection between earth and sky is the quest. As this progresses, the money system will be gone and the heart of the species will heal. There's a black hole in us that can be filled ONLY with a conscious connection to Spirit. I truly believe that it's being filled now. It's gradual, but, it's happening.

  • This makes me so sad. I'm white, but what can I do about all this? How can I be responsible for such unconscious ancestors. Actually, my grandfather's mother is 100% ARAPAHO from Oklahoma, but I'm a blond white person. It is a strange and interesting place to occupy.

  • Don't be sad. Just help out. I too am white.

Send this video to all of your friends and relatives. Find out more about the situation. Google is a good place to start. You are not powerless here.

  • Rated and shared with most social networks. Thank you.

  • Thank you too. This needs to be seen far and wide.

  • This angers me just as the water situation there.

  • I hear you loud and clear/

  • The bird we see outside our windows is an expression of purity and spirit. We must direct our thoughts to their beauty, their perseverance in and around a hostile environment. They teach us to keep going, to hold beauty in our eyes against all the attacks against our views of beauty - nature.

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • You betcha. Thanks for caring.

  • And the raping of the earth and its indigenous being is happening at an ever accelerating pace. Indigenous communities are being assaulted and robbed of their heritage throughout the global hemisphere.

I'm just a dumb Wasichu. But even I can see that the consequences of this constant robbery of earth mother's blood and guts can lead only to all of our annihilation, and very soon.

We must all change our direction and begin to look, promote and honor the good things we see every day,

  • You are so welcome. It's good to see you on my channel.

  • Sacred4s,

perhaps my ignorance kept me from understanding your question. Please try again.

  • need more info! morningwasichu, about NPL and hpl.

  • All you need to find out more is to do a Google search on PL 93-531.

  • THANK YOU! So much for making this documentary available to all. Ive wanted to see it for ages...heard so much about it.

and yes, watched all 7 parts, sent the links far and wide.

  • I've noticed that many people watch part one of this series, but shy away from watching the rest of the segments. What can I say? Be brave, and endure the whole story so that your conscience may direct your actions. Cowardice is not an option, unless you want to end up the same way our original people are.

  • I knowticed that too. I watched all of them and I've also seen it in Navajo class one time. There's lots of interesting videos that we watched, but they're very rare. Anyways, it pisses me off and angers me to watch these videos, but it makes me snap back into reality. They did a lot of crazy shit back then and still continue to.

  • I was going to post this documentary, and I'm glad I looked to see if someone else had placed it on youtube.

Thank you so much. I will pass it along to my friends and subscribers.

  • ESAU HAS ALLOT TO PAY FOR!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Please pass this video along to as many people as you can. The traditional Hopi and Dine (Navajo) people, and especially Hopi Elders Dan Evehema and Thomas Banyacya (no longer alive), and Dine Elders Pauline Whitesinger and Roberta Blackgoat (also no longer alive) deserve it.

Let's do all do all we can to stop the ticking clock. Do what you can to help set things right. It's late, but it's what we CAN do.
