  • Hey, I know this is an old video and I'll check out your other bids now, but how did you do the panning? I'd love to give this a try.

  • Very cool! I must try this with my D200!

What lens did you use BTW?

I'll have a look at your other work too! Are you on flickr as well?

  • Absolutely artwork .... in the literal sense of the word, Art

    Congratulations !!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful :)

  • May I ask what this music is? It seems familiar to me - but no title comes to mind.

  • Great paning job but not very good HDR

  • look @ my newer work. this is over 3 yrs old

  • ha ha, it's better to use a camera.

  • camera was used. :-?

  • great video!

how did you manage to pan the frame so smoothly?

  • Wow O.O nice video and great choice of song! subed

  • I haven't seen someone do this before, I am very into HDR photography, never thought about video before though. Very good.

  • awesome work. so how did you get the camera to pan like that as it took the time-lapse photos?

  • The sound and HDR clarity come through much better at the 720p upload. Very nice work. I just shot a HDR sunrise timelapse last week. Part of a project. :)

  • Lindísimo

  • Hey, How did you move the camera? Did you use a tripod with motors? I'm going to make one of these soon, Going to reformat my gaming rig and set it up for batch processing.

  • k, i'm trying this tomorrow. how are you doing the movement, in what kind of increments?

  • nevermind, checked your guides. thanks!

  • im using the d200. so i need to shoot with the intervolometer ,frame burst and bracket mode?

  • ya mon

  • how quickly do you need to shoot your brackets. wouldn't the clouds move by the time you got to you last exposure in the bracket set?

  • under a second or so...

  • Amazing, man. I just watched the 720 version. Beautiful! Music sets the mood.

  • song from "I am Legend"

  • Very nice. What equipment/programs did you use for this?

  • Very nice.

  • "wish I had the bandwidth to share it with you all" ?

Just put it up as a torrent or on emule... :P

    Btw - really amazing!

  • wow. great job Jay! I love it...i'm just learning about HDR methods/bracketing etc... seems really empowering!! Beautiful. Well Done!

  • bellisisimo

  • The images and music work together beautifully to create really interesting work. I could see this as a montage in a major dramatic film where the jury deliberates on the life and death of a defendant. :)

  • HOLY COW

HOW..HOW.. how did u do this.

    Wowowowow! amazing =o

  • is very beautifully put ,from the birth moment ,to first experiences and thrue the rest of life ,but you see it all on the old age.this video gives me the sense of life passing by,and pls:tell me how to find this music cause is realy awsome

  • Amazing work dude, How long did it take to process in photomatix?

  • hard to say.. when I do these I just let them render overnight... I'd guess 5-7 hours?

  • hi there, nice work amaising. can you tell me the name of that melody ,i can`t find it without the name .take care

  • this is off the 'danny the dog' album. ;-)

  • this is amazing!

  • 5 stars from me. Thats some work there. Excellent stuff mate.

  • what is the title of this song? i watched it about 20 times now because i enjoyed both music and work you did to this :)

  • Awesome stuff man!

btw whats the name of the musictrack?

    thx for ur answer!

  • WOW!!!

This will make me think a lot...

Thank you for sharing it with us!

    See you later.

  • This is extremely cool!

  • excelente!

  • Awesome work! Were you using some sort of motorized tripod head to achieve this?

  • Very good job! But how did you shot so many frames on D200, while D200 can shot only 999?

  • One of the most beautiful things ive seen!

  • check out mine :)

  • Bellisima Composicion!

  • good lad.

  • quite nice, its something Ive been playing with as well, though I have to use nikon capture with my d70 which is a bit of a pain. I was wondering if you can share how you spun your camera so smoothly, i've been thinking about building a rig, but if theres already something out there it would save me a good bit of swearing thanks

  • In general... telescope heads work great (like this example) check out some of my other movement experiments as well.

  • milapse, you ought to produce this on DVD (or better yet, BluRay or HD-DVD). i would love to see this on TV.

  • I like to much the motion, the evolution in time. It`s very good & don´t need the "cientific" voice.

  • I think I used h264 for this one. I've had the best luck with indeo, dvix, and h264...

  • Looks incredible!

  • AKATAKA!!!!!!!

    ..now more than ever...

  • LMFAO!!! ohhh desert.... ya ya ya you take me theeeerrreee

  • Thanks for the advice...the d100 seems like a solid although i would not need the remote because I already have an intervolometer....ya looks like i'm going to have 2 sell my brand new a100 :(..........I also have another question about your video. If you are taking 3 shots and combining them while the camera is 'spinning' wouldn't the 3 (bracketed) shots be slightly different. Therefore when you assemble them they would not be the exact photo?

  • 'slightly' is the operative word here, in fact very slightly... Actually photomatix has an 'allign' option which compensates a bit (in theory). I've yet to try it with say, people around. They'd probably be slightly ghosted.

  • I'm working on it.. I'll have some better resolution files for download!

  • great video,,,, I have attempted HDR timelapse with my sony a100 (yet had problems with an overheating issue?). Although I was shooting a series of 3 shots every 3 seconds. Have you ever encountered this overheating issue with your cam?

    Thanks,

    Curtis

  • overheating? didn't know dslrz had that much heat discharge... no problems here. So the a100 has an intervolometer??

  • no i am using the Mumford System 'Time machine'.....I am shooting a film (based on time lapse photography this summer and had the idea of doing the entire film in HDR) but my silly a100 is overheating and shutting down :(

  • two words for you: d100, mc-36

bout $550 or so... you may be able to get that for your a100 *wink*

  • Very nice. It looks like the sun cooperated in staying behind clouds and the tree. Do you think it would have been a problem to have the bright sun in the frame?

  • I'm not sure... but I'm a little nervious about shooting a boatload of frames directly into the sun so I did plan this shot knowing that the sun would head that way. This is a DSLR so not much chance of messing up the sensor but I have totally screwed a sensor on a point and shoot by doing a timelapse with the sun high and in the frame.

  • Which point and shoot burned? It hasn't happened to me, but maybe I've just been lucky, or the low sun saved me.

  • One of my favorite cheap-n-good cams... The Epson 3100z (shoots 5sec/frame continuious) I found out the hard way that it leaves it's eyes wide open while timing. Tis an interesting question on your canons... I'd bet they are on and exposing while connected to the software - correct?

  • Yes, that little spot of light is shining on the sensor all the time

  • my life has just changed ,hdr timelapses, good stuff.

  • It's blowing my mind as well. I was thinking about for the last few months... You know how these things go, one small thing finally brings it all together. For me it was the answer to the question: what the hell would you use this multiplier for on the D200 intervolometer... then it hit me, duh, HDR.

  • I don't know what hdr is... but I'm really glad I found your channel!

  • wikipedia is your friend! also check out the flickr group on HDR. Really glad your enjoying da stuff.

  • of course, I used the internets to correct my ignorance moments later... that's why the dreamy color dynamics... sweet...

  • Wow! That is truly amazing! I'm going to have to look into this HDR business. Top marks!
