I can really tell the difference with the Foster Extension on this video. When you did the demo video, I really couldn't hear the difference but on this one you can really tell. Question - which HJ are you using on this video?
but many flautists on youtube have made videos where they try them out so you can watch them and form an opinion on them.
actually, on saturday im going to a high standard top of the lone flute shop to look at new flutes so they might have them there. if they do ill try one and tell you how it goes.
forgive my youthful ignorance, but what in the world does the extension do? i'm new to that one.
the only comment i have is that your fingers tend to get far from the keys at times, mostly in the right hand. It's a problem, I know. other than that, you're quite good.
Very nice, I like this etude a lot and find that it helps my student get their fingers going rapidly in the first section
I think you know this etude very well. I recommend you try this experiment: play it once slowly and carefully and then immediately at a tempo twice as fast as your video version. Relax the fingers and keep them low.
Again, you are a very fine player and I enjoy your videos.
you're videos are always wonderful. Most "amateurs" as you call yourself, don't ever make things as nearly flawless as you do. So are you going to keep the Foster extension? I think your tone is great without it, but it's always fun to have a new gadget! THanks for posting!

Can you tell me about your flute?
The foot-joint looks much longer than ordinary one's. I haven't seen this kind...
By the way, very nice performance, both sound and tech-wise.
Thanks.

its longer because he has a foster flute extension on the end - its supposedly gives your flute better tonal quality and clarity.

Very nice, Mark, as ever. I like your Foster.
Do you know Foster's Lager, which is also nice?
