Gosh, this scene is sad! :( I really thought Peppy was going to die. He's old, so it made sense to me if he did. I was so happy when he made it out alive. As far as story goes, this is the best Star Fox game ever made. (Star Fox 64 is the best, in terms of gameplay. I really didn't like the gameplay of this too much, even though I liked the game overall.)

Let's see... An original member of Star Fox. Only one to survive Pigma's betrayal and escape Venom. Served as Fox's mentor. In this game alone he saved Pepper's life and performed a kamikaze attack with a freaking battleship. Later replaced Pepper as commander of Cornerian forces. I'm sure someone can think of other things. AND he knows how to do a barrel roll. ;)
You know, the whole "DON'T DO IT!" kamikaze and/or suicide plot point really only works when a legitimate character is doing the kamikaze/suicide. Still, I would really miss the barrel rolls........
But seriously though, MGS4 did the sacrifice plot right.

God, Slippy ruined the whole game. His 64 voice was fine, but this? It completely ruined every single scene. Besides that, this was a great game, and a good scene individually.
