@dougieisbamf Plain Styrofoam would not work. I mean you could make a plane out of it and it would be able to fly if you did it right, but it would be very brittle and a high G turn could easily snap the wings. Any crash would destroy it completely. Insulation foam board works for cheap foam planes, you can get it at home depot or walmart.

the reson its so fast is because with ducted fans u can compress the air/thrust to add like 10 or 20% more thrust

A WARNING TO ALL PILOTS ATTEMPTING DUCTED FAN AIRCRAFT!!! This type of plane i very fun, but be hazardous of where you take off from. be sure there arn't a lot of little rocks or gravel bits on the pavement! i learned the hard way, the's fans can and will suck up small rocks, and the results to the prop are devistating, ALL 6 blades on my single engine duct. fan were obliterated, and i spent and hour picking shrapnel from the plane... not fun be careful! but have fun. ( and yes i got it fixed )
