  • Yo did you do any body work on this car?

  • Very nice Firebird. You don't see too many of these around anymore.

  • i bet the neighbors get pissed of in the morning ahahah bad ass firebird bro!

  • i like the roar of your bird, i have a 06 trailblazer with magnaflow universal muffler (12268). what do i have to change to make it sound like your bird?

  • was this a v6 swap? my 85 v6 would look just like yours and needs a total restoration with a 350 when i get the money

  • btw this car does sound very nice and a clean sound some cars have a nasty roar but this one have a nice clean roar which is good being a american muscle

  • I have a 1984 trans am does anyone know where i can get a cheap but magnaflow muffler from that would make my car sound more of a beast it is

  • My 1964 Impala runs better than most 1980s toyotas and hondas and it has a 1984 350, whats your point jap lovers?

  • Wow! I've got a GM 350 crate myself with flowmaster muffler but it doesn't sound that good!

  • what muffler is that

  • Nice, man. Nice.

  • that is one sexy bird man, nice!

  • Nice Bird!

  • @accordguy0325 so his experience MUST be the rule, and not the exception on gm quality, especially since these cars are so old, and beaten on before your brother got it. i'm sure he was uneducated about the car, and instead of learning about what was wrong, he went by some greedy shadetree's word that he needed new parts and they haphazardly put it back together, only to have more problems, all while charging him way too much money...yeah, that definitely shines on gm's honor

  • @mw66nova Haha notice that his name is "accordguy" lol....Fuckin Ricers

  • @mw66nova haha happened to me i bought an 89 and turns out they messed with all sorts of electrical including replaceing steering column and not having the right passkey chip on the key soo the put a line of resistors in the wireing so i went and had $450 dollars worth of rewiring instead of just having the resistors put back on lol ppl are stupid

  • @accordguy0325 I bought a stock 89 firebird TPI 350 that was sitting for 10 years. All I had to do was drop a new battery in it, absolutely nothing else, and I drove it home that day. It had 136k miles and both the engine and transmission are the original. Best car I ever drove and I still have it and still enjoy it with minimal maintenance. It is a workhorse, it does not want to stop working. Your brother must not have known what he was doing.

  • @NoOdL3z18

Even the biggest lemons occasionally churn out a good one... Consumer Reports didn't rate these cars as horrid failures for nothing....

  • @accordguy0325 You drive an Accord...who told you that you could speak amongst men?

  • @accordguy0325 Why dont you let your brother talk shit....You didit even own the car or give any information and you talk shit to me an every GM owner.

  • @accordguy0325 well does a subaru sound or drive like this car no it doesnt and plus its not a classic. and no offense to the pontiac fans but chevy has been known for durability pontiac is way better than ford though.

  • PLEASE WILL THE 84 REARLIGHTS FIT ON MY 86???????

  • @juanibarra1026 yes, 82-92 firebirds are all interchangeable

  • @mw66nova thanks dude i want my 86 to look and sound like this

  • @mw66nova i have '84's on my '85 Trans am and the dont quite fits, you can wiggle them around a little.

  • i hope my firebird sounds like this when i am done ''nice firebird dude :)

  • nice man, u should check out my firebird vid :)

  • Let me grab an extra pair of pants before I sit in that.

  • this car is noisy!

  • thats a clean looking bird.

  • nice car man. very clean

  • nice firebird.. sound good.

  • engine sounds strong. nice car.

  • What did this setup cost? You can respond to my inbox

  • why didt you put the spoiler back on it

  • @3rd4thgenFbody it's never had one on it, it's spoilerless from the factory. lots of early 3rdgen base model birds were this way.

  • @mw66nova oh and its kinda hard to find a SE these days dont see many around

  • @mw66nova This is true, but don't forget that SE's could be optioned out close to Trans Ams. I've seen stock SE's with the spoiler.

  • i like it without the spoiler dude. looks like the new challenger kinda

  • keep up the good work mate, take good care of that beast..I love it ;)

  • don't pay any atention to theese guys...keep off the spoiler..it looks best ;)

  • @tija5 haha, thanks for the kind words. i'm not worried about these keyboard jockies that bust on my stuff...if it weren't for the people that like things to look like everything else, my cars wouldn't stand out from the crowd!

  • @tija5 yes i agree it looks good without the spoiler........what is the part number on your mufflers?

  • looks sick with no spoiler, im taking mine off

  • Wheres the spoiler man?

  • cool you live in georgia too

  • what year is this ferrari 348?

  • @SeeProfileForDetails are you the same guy whos says that on every firebird video i watch dude shut up

  • the stalling is the idle control plug...just fixed mine, i replaced everything and nothing worked but that did the trick

  • what kind of muffler is that

  • holly fk lol

    very nice

  • Magnaflows are where it's at. What I have on mine.

  • Thats fuckin sweet man!

  • @adogg619 lol, look at this fool up at two o'clock in the morning commenting about my flipflops!

  • @mw66nova I'm often up at 2 commenting on youtube videos, and I often wear flipflops while driving my 89 T/A :). cant we just all get along

  • @mw66nova how is the performance of that motor. they say its a good pick up replacement. im surprised you went for that motor but am curious on it performs, mpg, set-up and general power. thx

  • @gixxanyc very torque-y. pulls good from idle to about 3800, so i could see it as a good replacment for a truck. the engine was already in the car when i bought it, and for as little as i paid for the car, i'm not complaining, lol

  • very nice, im starting to fix up my moms old 83 firebird, it needs ALOT of work, im trying to fix it up as my first car, gonna be a hell of a project considering im 15.. and blew half my budget on a rebuilt engine.

  • nice i spent about $300 on exhaust it sounds like this. I got mine cammed and what not, just wating for alum heads.

  • Single exhaust or dual

  • @prettyboiwaver18 single 3"

  • How much did you spend?

  • @lilchato23 well....on which part? i built the y-pipe out of individual mandrel bends and a flowmaster y-collector. the y-pipe was ~$100 or so. the muffler was ~$80ish if i remember correctly. the intermediate pipe was already there from a previous exhaust. i spend about 8 hours on my back on the ground with the car on jackstands to make it happen. to duplicate this setup by a shop would probably cost $400ish.

  • @mw66nova thanks because im 15 and i have a 89 firebird but

i wanted to know how much would someone spend because i would really like to make my exhaust sound much faster than my neighbors stupid honda.

  • @mw66nova hey could you help me out dude... i have an 84 firebird 2.8 v6 automatic and it keeps stalling when i get to a stop light then give it gas to go... it only happens every once in a while though.. please help it would be really awesome if you could help me out

  • @TheJohnny2x4 well, tell me a little about the car, mileage, etc. when was the last time it had a full tuneup? *read, FULL*. ie, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, pcv valve, etc.

once those things are up to par, check base timing, and look for vacuum leaks. post your findings

  • @TheJohnny2x4 i have a fire bird with the same specs yours and i found that it was staling simply because the alternator was not tight enough.

  • @mw66nova What kind of muffler and catback piping did you use (or is it all custom)

  • love that car, i hate the 1993 model though

  • do you want one more lol check out my last video ... Your is nice dude like the sound of it ... check out our little 305 in our Race truck

  • thats 1 sexy fuckin car, omg i love muscle cars

  • man that thing sounds and looks great

  • i favorited this and listen to it all the time, sounds so nice.

  • mw, what is the hp rating on this crate engine? I'm doing the exact same thing with my 88 Firebird, but going to a carb instead of injection. My crate is 375HP. Your '84 sounds sweet man.

  • lol, this is the super awesome 260hp 350 crate motor. it's a screamer, lol

  • @RussellT1304 yeah crate the way to go...i'm also crate lookin for something puttin out over 460 tho a nice 383 stroker sounds good, huh?

  • was it easy to swap the motor?

I am new at hot rods

  • i did not do the swap on this particular car. however, a 305-350 swap is as straight foward as you can get. literally just remove and replace. everything goes back in the same place as a 350 has the same outside dimensions as a 305.

  • I think u need a spoiler on it, not the ugly ricer spoilers I mean those low slick dovetail muscle car spoilers. Sounds good :) I wish I owned a V8, one day I will.

  • did you buy that car in that good of shape?

  • nope, it was in terrible shape. the car is still need of a paint job in a bad way. the car is my mom's now.

  • Okay makes me feel better about mine im restoring its got bad paint entieror is terrible and the motor is a 400 but im gonna make that a high performance motor and suspension brakes and wheels are all bad.

  • what size cam?

  • bwahaha, you'll laugh! it's a 260hp gm performance parts crate motor. this thing was a whopping $1400 new. the cam is:

    -252*/262* adv

    -194*/202* @ .050

    -.383"/.401"

    ground on a 112*lsa.

the car has a great torque curve, but if i ever get the car back, it'll get a head/cam swap.

  • @mw66nova lol im not going to laugh because that's inspirational. That sounds so good, I want my 350 TPI to sound JUST like that, and was wondering what combos sounded the best.

  • it's not going to sounds JUST like this. the tpi intake will make a slightly different pitch. i think you'll be very happy with this muffler though.

  • Yeah, of course. But every other TPI i hear is just loud, and not refined. I want lopey.

  • i understand. you will have a bit smoother idle with the stock engine than this. the 260hp crate motor has the cam i mentioned previously, and the static compression ratio is only like 8.5:1 consequently it sounds a bit more like a truck. yours should have a "crisper" sound with the same exhaust setup.

  • beautiful bird man i just bought 1 in august. and was thinking about a flomaster muffler but i might have just changed my mind.

  • Nice bird!

  • nice bird, man

  • I am looking into this combination for my 86 TA how much power does it make. Will it run with an LT1 TA?

  • what the hel muffler was that thats fucknig amazing :)

  • M A G N A F L O W :)

  • sweet

  • good choice on muffler!

  • gorgeous sound! I made swap in my 82 T/A -> LG4 to LB9 and now to L98. 350 RULE!

  • are u still selling it

  • nope, i sold it to my folks, my mom is now rockin' the 'bird

  • Very nice!! Im thinking about getting a magnaflow muffler for my camaro

  • That sounds damn good!
