janu there are different alaarippus in different thalams and there are variations in them. also alari[pu differs too because of the different banis(schools & style)
good job - considering the recording of the alarippu was on the faster side! keep your arms steady when you do natyaramba especially during the first and second speeds! also, don't overdo any bends - especially while bending forward.
Really? My mom also says don't overdo the bends (she's a dance teacher), but I disagree. I think it looks good when the bends are overdone. there is this amazing dancer who bends really well, and it suits her. I agree about bending forward in a way with you. It does not look good when one means to bend sideways but does a half-forward bend- I do that sometimes, and I saw that it looked bad when I looked at my videotape. I don't think samochin did that ( I'd have to look at the video again)
I like this video. But i want to learn the meaning of the dance and where is much popular. There is a web in english?Or in hindi but with this vocabulary and i can learn it;)
мне понравилось как он танцует , а как тебе ?

where can I learn to dance like this?

Isn't Alarippu supposed to be pure dance & not have any abhinaya in it? That's why it's called Alarippu.
