  • h i want to know how is call quality on samsung galaxy s2

  • @coollestboyever I second that... Haven't seen a comparison between the Galaxy S2 and the HTC sensation from Sam! That being said, IIRC, the Samsung has slightly better outgoing sound quality but lower earpiece sound quality, I just can't remember where I saw that. In other words, the Samsung is better for the listeners, the HTC is better for the owner.

Anyone, correct me if I'm wrong. Sam?

  • pff i like the content!

  • Hi sam I got this phone a few days ago and had a question about the remote control app. I downloaded it on my phone but am unable to use it because it doesn't detect my samsung tv. How do I connect the tv to the same network? (I thought it already would have been connected but apparently it's not)

  • Hi there, I was looking in the internet for these two phones because I'm gonna buy new phone and the funniest thing is most of the reviews are yours.. :D Anyway I just need to ask which phone got the best camera quality and the music quality? Thanks. I prefer HTC because of the UI but I'm mostly in to "camera quality and the music quality"... Plz reply

  • @Learner977 The camera on the Galaxy S2 is better, video is similar-ish, music depends on what your wanting if your going to use the speaker and want more bass for rock music etc then the Galaxy, if you want more voice/women-ish music then the Sensation :)

Headphones ? pretty much the same, altho the Galaxy S2 does do 5.1 with ease.

  • @samjpullen u are crazy camera is better on sensation but the voice and music quality is better on sgs2 i respect u but u are doing big mustakes.... sry for my bad english...

  • @samjpullen not better,,,,i have both phones and can honestly say that the htc has the better camera for sure......galaxy is not that far behind,,but is still behind.....

  • weird how sensation was ahead by a couple of test and @ 0:50 galaxy2 gets stuck in one of the test for a while even has to refresh itself many times and sam even cut off the recording & just skipped to the end, i believe this test should be retaken without cutting the scene. i like the sgs2 just as much but i cant trust fanbois when it comes to there favorite device against any other device. im still upset its not in the US too!

  • Oh and to @dhshaun22 the galaxy s 2 is the phone i recomend for you.

  • Can you show us the video caling on both devices galaxys2 vs htc sensaition please.

  • If I had to choose a phone out of these 2 which one should I get??? I am a teenager soo I'm using social networks alot, the Internet nd I lik the apps to...I had the experia play, it kept crashing, it got real slow nd then stopped turning on....so I would lik a fast, reliable nd entertaining phone thx

  • @theemphasisband Makes no difference to the results, i had run the test many times before the video :)

  • /watch?v=SCf0-MQswCo&feature=feedu same test but with the ipad/phone btw my aus eee 901 scored 1073 with firefox 4 lol XD

  • hmm u could have shown the scores of different stuff........java flash.......there is a pop up u need to click to see those

  • @StickmanStig because he has no life

  • LOVE ur accent and BTW SAMSUNG RULZ!

  • Great videos

  • @StickmanStig

your comment?? my friend told me that

  • I want to ask if the Galaxy s ll or the htc sensation have HDMI connection.

    thx forward :D

  • @omarloay1 they both use the micro usb port to send hdmi video threw, but you'll need a micro usb to hdmi cable sold separately. you could buy a cheap one at ebay for $5.

  • i got samsung :D

  • hi wotz the music that you play, when you fast-forward ?

  • My galaxy s got 632

    (shw-m110s) oc 1252ghz tegrak lagfix

  • My galaxy s (shw-m110s) got 632 in these benchmark running 2.3.3 oc to 1252ghz

  • got 491 in stock browser on my HTC Desire, 1GHz processor..

    Im disapointet, Sensation :/

  • S2!!! Perfect!!

  • HA HA HA The Sensation SUCKS!!!!!! Thanks Sam and love the new intro to your vids and the fast forward bit in this video, nice work :)

  • stop showing crap show me something i would like to se like e3 page video

  • @15heartz No :), go elsewhere if you do not like my content.

  • @samjpullen ok MR BORIN GOD BLESS YOU STAY BLESS PSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Also it looks like the SW is updated slightly on my Sensation vs the one you used. For example in the browser while zooming with a flash video on the screen it zooms just like on the S2 (not weird with static size flash window while the rest is resizing as in your video). I was prepared to wait for a future update to fix this, but it appears its already fixed.

  • @TheRighteous123 Post up a video bud, If they have fixed the little niggles like that then it needs to be shown as they were the things that annoyed me the most (its always the small things lol)

  • the sensation only uses both core when needed! notice how the gs2 has 2x the score as the sensation? cause it's using both cores while the sensation uses one. both have diff processors... so don't get discouraged!!! if u want the sensation .. GET IT! great fone! and so is the gs2!!! nuff sed :)

  • @PancakeTheElf its called "asynchronous" ive said this before, but no one here wants to hear the fact that most of the time the msm8x66 uses only 1 core unless specifically coded for it or needs it out of sheep power needed from an app. its the first mobile dual core cpu set to use this technique that is mostly seened on laptop & desktops. unlike other dual cores they both run @ 200mgz when all they need is 1 cpu running @ 200mgz, but instead has to use both because of its desighn.

  • @jay33011211

Kiddo, that is because HTC is cheap, using one core reduces the overall power consumption when you can utilize the other for games as well. Samsung did it right and has a far superior chipset and is a far better phone (SGS2 vs sensation)

  • @jay33011211 so basically what i just said but in simplified terms.. ^___^

  • Hardware accelerated on the GS2...

  • @wong041192 Go checkout the opera benchmark :)

  • Sam, you mention upgrading to the latest firmware, but my Galaxy S 2 says it's running the latest version when connected to Kies. Any ideas? By the way, it was your videos that made my mind up. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

  • Lol another win for the gs2

  • The significant difference in benchmark results is primarily due to the fact that the Galaxy S 2 web browser is hardware accelerated, whereas the Sensation's is not.

  • @troy2062 Go checkout the opera benchmark then :)

  • @samjpullen

Very interesting. The results follow the same general ratio. Given the fact that the devices are equal in terms of raw CPU performance, I would narrow the problem to a lack of optimization on the Sensation, poor hardware implementation, or both.

After the upcoming firmware updates for the Sensation have been released (assuming you do still possess both devices at that time), I would be very interested to see another benchmark run. :)

  • @troy2062 i would have to say it has to do with the 35% more pixels that need to be processed & the fact that the SGS2 is always using both cores while the sensation uses only 1 of its cores unless an app calls for both to be used at once or if an app needs so much processing that the 2nd cpu will kick in but when it does kick in it will start at 200mgz & make its way up to 1.2ghz @ its peak is needed. a gaming mode is needed, it would force both cores to run @ same speed all the time.

  • @jay33011211

Disagree, the SGS 2 has a more powerful CPU and GPU, and that's HTC's problem, just means HTC is inferior ..

  • @troy2062 Sprry I don't have the Sensation any longer

  • the sensation was clearly loading each one faster, benchmarks mean fuck all

  • @tgorton96 Results like these don't lie, after owning both together these are correct

  • @samjpullen you are so biased towards the sgs2, its a good phone, but touchwiz is shit, i could snap it with one hand its completely made of plastic, personally i prefer htc

  • Sam , have you suffered from any minor problems or major problems when using your S2? and also I know your from the UK [So am I!!!] but what plan are you currently on since you bought it from Phones4u your a heavy user right so I am. please tell me! i'm getting this phone on sunday!

  • gr8 video sam..pls do a video on the XWKE7 update..wot so new in it??

  • Would be more intresting if you compared the results on the same browsers (Dolphin )

  • @EndoskelletonT800 I did.... I used opera check my channel

  • And btw, real life browsing performance experience between S2 and Sensation is not even noticable. The S2 scrolls quicker but has this ghosting lag on the screen, the Sensation stutters a bit more but no ghosting.

  • Im heading to the store now after viewing all videos and comparisons side by side between Sensation and Galaxy S2 - Im getting the Sensation. IRL the screen looks better and crisper than the S2, you can read text more easily while zoomed out. Love Sense 3.0 as well.

  • @TheRighteous123 Wish that was the case on the screen buddy, but it's not :/

  • @samjpullen Writing this from my new Sensation, extremely pleased with it. The screen is clearly sharper due to the higher resolution, also the whites are more white. Both amazing phones, the S2 is faster in all benchmarks, but did not notice any major difference in real use while browsing, playing videos, flash contentand general UI.

  • @TheRighteous123 No offense but your 100% wrong about the whites :), check out phonedog and pocketnows reviews, they seem to agree with me.

I cam see some people's point on the screen resolution but in everyday use there is nothing in it :).

Enjoy th sensation as it's still one he'll of a phone!

  • @samjpullen When i compared them side by side, the Sensation clearly had better whites, the S2 almost looked yellowish in comparison, the difference was clear (I was a bit surprised). The resolution is to me a BIG advantage in every day use for reading emails with small text for a good overview as well as webpages to avoid scrolling around. To me this and the Sense interface advantages are more important then benchmark numbers, as you say its down to personal preference.

  • @TheRighteous123 Compare other aspects too. What about viewing angle, blacks and other colors? Overall SGS2's screen looks better. Maybe SGS2 not as good as sensation at those 2 aspects, but it is better in many other aspects. Besides whites and pixel density not that poor in SGSII. Not like Sensation's screen. It has poor viewing angles.

  • @anakkucluk Yes you are right, blacks are better on the S2, but i was surprised with how close it is at the normal/optimal angle on the HTC. Viewing angle is clearly better on the S2 though IRL its not as bad as it looks in the videos and does not impact the user experience. I am honestly very impressed with the Sensations screen overall and would not swap it for the S2's. The S2 probably wins in more specific tests than the HTC, but the HTC wins in the areas most important for me.

  • @TheRighteous123 Think I should pre read before posting with my silly typos, I blame the iPad ;)

  • "Take what you will" <-- best way to prevent fanboy wars from starting :P

  • @iAnimationProduction He had a big war on one of his videos.

  • @iAnimationProduction Pretty much ;)

  • Hi sam good video, what's the latest firmware on gs2 because am currently running on KE2

  • @sohailamir1 Heard KE7 is out already

  • @weeruz Correct it was out a few weeks ago :)

  • i think i will skip updating my galaxy s2 forever i dont think google and samsung can actually update without bricking their phones both companies how low skilled people in their software department without degrees or experience in software writing

  • Yeah make video about XWKE7 update man.

  • the S2 destroys everything in all the benchmarks I've seen haha

i want it!!! stupid slow Canadian release >_<

  • I love the S2, I have one and its amazing, but the battery SUCKS DICK

  • @AKCharlie47 make sure your on the newest firmware :)

  • @samjpullen Hi Sam, are you on KE2?

I mean, from 100% at 7am it will be down to 50% my 1pm. With very minimal usage.

  • @AKCharlie47 KE7 is the newest update

  • @samjpullen Looks like my battery was faulty, I updated to KE7 and my battery was still draining way too quick with all the power-saving precautions. I also had a dead-pixel, so O2 are sending out a next-day replacement. Thanks anyway, continue with your great videos - I am subscribed!

  • @AKCharlie47 no it didnt. i charge my s2 battery every two days. it is the best bettery i ever seen on a smartphone!!!

  • @AKCharlie47 Mine's pretty damn good. :-P

  • lol isnt the sensation tired of getting its ass kicked all the time.

  • THE GALAXY S 2 MORE SENSATIONAL THEN THE SENSATION

  • @NathanAV10 THAN, NOT THEN!

  • @NathanAV10 <...........hahahah nice one..It is ture.

  • @NathanAV10 your mother has a dick

  • I have just got the Galaxy S 2 and it's sensational!!!

  • Don't forget to LIKE Please :) - It helps my videos out a lot - Cheers :D

  • Sammm, Can you do a video talking about the XWKE7 update :D? Nice video again :)

  • @marc7b I am going to wait for another update before going into software updates etc :)
