To all of you haters out there, listen to this for once god dammit. You obviously dont know who GSP is. This baddass is a true gifted talent. His history and background is unique. GSP has the heaviest heart of them all. He is a MARTIAL ARTIST and not a FIGHTER. Thats why almost all of his matches he win by decision and not by knockouts. He dont want to knock the other guy unconscious even if he could. He'll rather safe points.. Easily. Tell me of a fighter/martial artis with more heart than GSP
onokaoonokao - if Diaz beats the hell out of Condit, will he still be overrated? He goes in there & goes for it - he leaps into the pocket & forces his opponent to throw hands, backs them against the cage, fires at a crazy pace & throws body shots like no one else in the sport. I agree somewhat because Diaz usually gets dropped - but he gets back up & stays firing at that crazy pace. The inevitable will happen - IE Chuck, Wanderlei. But why not enjoy his exciting style in the moment?
You gotta give Serra some credit he was straight up a huge underdog and the smaller guy and still pulled off the upset no lucky punch,no excuses he beat GSP fair and square and you can say "well,GSP avenged his defeat" but the fact is that Serra still knocked him out.
this is how GSP win's his fight he take the ez route different from Great Fighter he doesn't challenge himself if his fighting a great wrestler Gsp would use his great wrestling skills to keep the fight standing and if his fighting a dangerous striker he would take that person down and ground and pound unlike Diaz what makes Diaz a great fighter is he would beat you at ur own game like when he fought paul daley he koed daley Submit Cyborg and out box BJ Diaz Great exciting fight and GSP boring

@KyockLee123 Why would you call me an idiot? Just because Silva was beating them to the punch?
If someone was fighting against Silva and had their hands down, that would be a stupid risk. Silva is not an average striker, he is one of the best in the world. Forrest Griffin isn't the greatest striker. He got knocked by Keith Jardine.
Okami is alright, but he isn't Silva.
What were the big risks that Silva took in those two fights?
@57worldwide Let me ask you, when has St. Pierre put his hands down. Easily could have done with a shit striker like Shields but couldn't even finish that.
@KyockLee123 Instead of asking why GSP hasn't put his hands down, answer the earlier question. What big risk was Silva taking, by exchanging with Okami?
In GSP's fight with Shields, he got a scratched cornea in the second round, later knocked down Shields with a head kick. He didn't jump into Shields guard though - because that is where Shields is the strongest, and there is no need to take big risks. GSP won - one judge scored the bout with 5 rounds to GSP - with only one eye half the fight.

@KyockLee123 If GSP hadn't tried to submit Hardy, your argument would mean more. GSP isn't the greatest at submissions. He is better now than he was then.
If GSP was really a pussy, he wouldn't be fighting anyone! Diaz, on the other hand, is so brave and such a great fighter that he didn't have to show up for any of the press conferences when he was first scheduled to fight GSP. GSP is such a pussy, he showed up to the press conference when that brave warrior Diaz couldn't.
@57worldwide If you want to be the best, you have to actually be the best. Couldn't submit a shit fighter in Hardy nor finish a hurt Koscheck. He is overrated, face it. And fuck press conferences, cause Diaz would have shown up at the fight, St. Perre wouldn't have because of his "injury".
@KyockLee123 That's not how the UFC operates. You don't get to skip promotions.
It's ridiculous that you're criticism against GSP is that he isn't a finisher. He's the champ, so does that matter?
'Over 10 UFC cards in 2011 have had either their Main Event or Co-Main Event changed due to injury.' GSP hasn't been out due to injury for a long time (so I have heard). He was still going to fight Condit in early 2012, then when Diaz did so well against BJ, he got the fight again.
@57worldwide Other way around, despite missing the conferences, Diaz would have no doubt showed up on fight night. St. Pierre pussed out cause he knew that Condit or Diaz would have fucked him up. True champion? No fucking way, Silva? Yes, because he decided to fight Sonnen and Okami injured and STILL finished them both.
@Smokesterr You are right, why would Diaz be scared if he called out GSP, then didn't make it to the press conferences? Why would his trainer not know where he is, why would Diaz then make excuses as to why he couldn't make it to the press conference?
If Diaz really wasn't scared, why did the fight not happen when it was originally scheduled to happen? Why did Diaz end up fighting BJ Penn?
I guess Diaz just doesn't give a fuck, calls out GSP and doesn't actually want to fight him. Not scared.
@57worldwide Conference shenanigans I'll give you that one, But the fight didn't happen when originally scheduled because of how Diaz missed the press conference you just answered your own question their buddy. How do you know Diaz is scared to fight GSP? Because he "Missed the press conference"? IMHO he looked more scared to fight BJ. But him being scared to fight GSP is bs. If you didn't want to fight someone would you call him out??
@Smokesterr I don't really think that Diaz is scared of GSP. I also don't think GSP is scared of Diaz. It will be a hard fight for either of them, Diaz could beat GSP. I just don't think he will.
I'm interested in seeing how GSP will go about defending the title from Diaz. Diaz has a height advantage, and is a very unorthodox striker. I'm not sure how GSP's team are going to prepare for this; it would be hard to spar against someone in preparation for a fight against Diaz.
@57worldwide Diaz isn't scared of GSP dude...Even Diaz said he has more respect for BJ, than for GSP. GSP is a good catch-wrestler, & very good at position, position, position--everyone respects what he does. BUT--no fighters are threatened by him, except Hughes-lol; they all know he doesn't like to finish fights. He doesn't want to put himself out on the line to do that! Its not like Diaz is fighting Anderson dude. Anywayz, any1 from the 209--is always ready to bring it, win or lose homie!
@bocajjp1 GSP tried to finish fighters. He doesn't take stupid risks though. I think he would like to finish fights, but as an example, when he knocked down Jake Shields with a head kick, it would have probably been getting away from the game plan if he was to leap into Jake's guard. Yes, he may have been able to finish the fight, but that would have been a risk. If you are in the fight game, you want to keep your opponent away from their game plan.
@57worldwide You obviously don't know who nick diaz. Besides george just pulled out of ANOTHER fight and people are posting articles everywhere asking if he should be stripped of his belt lmao.
@TheDrunkwraith From what I have read, he will relinquish his belt. Also, that he has a torn ACL. He is injured. Do you think it would be wise to fight with a torn ACL?
@57worldwide Of course it wouldn't, but EVERYONE is using the exact same excuse this year and its pretty fishy to me. 2 years ago people actually got injured here and there, this year almost every big fight has been postponed or dropped completely due to KNEE injuries. Never in my life have I seen so many knee injuries come around with only high level fighters. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I just don't see why only big fights are being postponed everywhere you look.
@TheDrunkwraith Right, and GSP hasn't been out because of an injury for literally years. Injuries happen, especially when training at high intensity. Injured knees are serious and usually take a long time to heal. It's not like it's something you could realistically fight through (or continue competing at a high level in any sport).
@57worldwide Very true, that's why it's weird that everyone is suddenly getting knee injuries this year but every other year it always differed. Maybe GSP is hurt but I can't have faith in a man that hasn't finished a fight since Serra (bj quitting doesn't count).
@TheDrunkwraith I guess we'll see. It will be a long way away though - and I was looking forward to the GSP-Diaz fight. If Diaz beats GSP (which may not happen straight away - would GSP get a title shot straight away when he returns? Will Diaz be champ? etc) there will be the whole 'it wasn't GSP in his prime' bullshit argument.
I'm still looking forward to a fight between them, but it is less likely to happen, factoring everything in. Maybe GSP will be too old to challenge for the title?
@TheDrunkwraith so you notice a correlation between Big fighter and knee injury and you rather perceive that as an excuse but not the consequence of being a Big fighter i.e. training harder than everyone else?
@57worldwide Maybe the dude just hates press conferences, i remember back when tito was in his prime...he skipped out on something like 5 or 6 conferences...he still got to fight because Dana needed that big fight for the UFC back in the day but NOW fighters have to be professional with the media? there fucking trained killers, Diaz aint scared brotha, its probably way more complicated than we will ever know.
@fade2black232 Yeah, I agree. I wasn't being dead serious, I don't really think Diaz is scared. He missed the press conferences and the fight was cancelled.
It's just stupid that people would try to claim GSP is scared, implying he isn't injured. If true, it's a serious claim. If false, it's a ridiculous rumour. That's really all I was trying to say (replying to a comment that GSP is scared to fight Diaz).
I already went into details about when/if they get to fight, if you want to read more.
@57worldwide wtf are you talking about, he's not scared, he's just a full blown nut case, who the hell can say why people like him do anything. A nut case and an overrated fighter in my opinion, wins by rope a dope, only with his head instead of the guard like ali. When he loses his chin, his career is over.
@57worldwide gsp is the one who chose the surgery that takes a longer healing time on purpose and they'll fight when diaz beats condit and becomes the interim champ. then gsp will probably lay on him for five rounds
@disturbed157 I'm sick of discussing this. I WAS NOT SERIOUSLY SAYING DIAZ IS SCARED. I was replying to someone who said GSP is scared of Diaz. If you want to know what I think, click on 'see all', and read my other comments. I don't like repeating myself, and don't like to copy + paste.
@toms2 'I don't really think that Diaz is scared of GSP' - my words. Thanks for repeating something which I had already stated, I needed to make sure my opinion was understood.
If Silva got lucky when Chael Sonnen had far too much testosterone than was allowed or could naturally be possible, what would Chael getting lucky be? I guess that would be if Silva wasn't coming into the fight injured, and if Silva had more testosterone than Chael.
@polychronio Naw just the klitchko's but other than that the majority of the best boxer's are black. FLOYD MATWEATHER, MUHAMAD ALI, MIKE TYSON, ROY JONES, SUGAR RAY LENARD, JOE FRAZIER, GEORGE FOREMAN, JOE LEWIS
@jae321912008 yeah but boxing was(and is) only mainly played in the US by US black people...no other countries in the world really play boxing....only country that play boxing is mexico other than the US......thus lack of competition......but when only few europeans play boxing, they dominate like Klitschko...imagine if other south americans and european play boxing in the same scale as the US....
@jae321912008 Europeans take over boxing now.... it's because white people in the US are weak anglo type of white people.... Europeans or south american white people are the best in sports...
@MixedMartialArts101 ...thanks for the reply...recognizes the hype behind GSP? i think only a person who has followed ufc since it's beginings as NHB has the ability to be objective in this simple matter.
i just don't understand how in the fuck people look at a player with a few loses (not a big deal), but only 6 title defenses calls him greatest p4p. boxers have to wait until their numbers are at least 40-60 wins before they even attempt the say who is the greatest...6 wins...really?
@MixedMartialArts101 shit...look how hard a minority needs to work...people want silva to clear out the light heavyweight division before they consider him the greatest p4p. yet gsp can continue to punch out grapplers and wrestlers and get hype.
@doctorsizzle its 2011 bro. This has fuckall to do with race or where your from.
GSP's a french canadian for fucksake , im pretty sure there's more brazillians in the world than french-canadians. Being brazillian in mma surely isnt a damn minority lmao.
quit makin excuses GSP lost an lost like a Bitch tapped to strikes now he wrestles with strikers an strikes with not very good strikers thiago alves is overated koshcheck is a wrestler etc.
@graveyard090 your really stupid. gsp is not the best P4P compared to silva in UFC anderson is undefeated. 14 title defenses 95% of them in TKO or submission.
GSP got the belt in 2006, it is NOW 2011 and he's only defended his belt 6 times. 5 of which were in decision and he has lost twice in ufc alone.
anderson has been fighting far longer than GSP. GSP is talented, but he's nowhere near silva.
Diaz is gonna bring it to Gsp. It's gonna be interesting to see how he reacts. Gsp by 4th round tko. He's to technical for Diaz' wild style. Can't wait! Should be a classic.
@justinenglishh this would be funnier if it wasnt his first loss.. it was his second. and if you meant, he only lost because.. then thats ironic cause you have english in your name and yours is horrible
dude who cares ur probably jsut oone of those dicks who just like to get mad at everythng on the interte wen someonespells somethng wrong who cares dude it snt shcool or somethng so stopbeing a baby aboutit
can someone please send me a message telling me how to order the pay per views (ufc 133) and how much they cost thanks. like him or not, they get paid to talk like that. its called hyping a fight. you see it as cockyness. to him its confidence. we all slice it differently.
wtf i cant find hughes beating him, I didnt pay attention to the fight but sherdog says hughes armbarred him, the fight i saw he got armbarred, fight. com is better, better ranking system too
@GetFuckedUbitch True Matt knocked him out, I was stating facts that were touched upon in the documentary The Striking Truth which I found interesting as a fan and thought others might find interesting.
To answer your question I am not a homosexual and I am not "in love with some random kunt". I assume that you are a MMA fan as you are watching this video. Are you in love with Matt Serra? I ask only because you are taking offense to me posting info I thought people might find interesting.
GSP will get anal raped if he fights Silva...he wont get chance to say(for the 7th time) "Sorry fans i tried to finish the fight but...." coz he's glass chin will be broken into the pieces & lay dead inside the octagon...
i remember this fight...out of all my friends i was the only one that said Matt would win and win by knock out...everyone wanted to bet i i said no, that i didnt feel right taking their money when i knew how it was gonna go down...hahaa
@zacht1000 naw cause sonnen was still bleeding and not really doing anything, silva was no where near being knocked out but he was definitely gonna lose if he didnt pull off that amazing submission
GSP only trained for 10 days before the fight and started doubting himself during the fight because of his lack of training. He severely underestimated Serra and bought into the hype around him. This was touched upon in The Striking Truth interesting little documentary for anyone interested.
@UltimateGinger1 It is true it was a "crash course" in training was what they said only 10 days. He didn't take the fight seriously and bought into how great everyone said he was, once he got in the cage he began to doubt himself I believe because the lack of training. This is what got him turned around and made him more motivated to not have that happen again watch the movie.

@KyockLee123 That's what I said, Diaz is scared. Why else would he miss the press conferences?
GSP was injured, which forced him to miss his scheduled fight against Condit. Are you not aware of this?
57worldwide 2 months ago
@57worldwide Other way around, despite missing the conferences, Diaz would have no doubt showed up on fight night. St. Pierre pussed out cause he knew that Condit or Diaz would have fucked him up. True champion? No fucking way, Silva? Yes, because he decided to fight Sonnen and Okami injured and STILL finished them both.
KyockLee123 2 months ago
@KyockLee123 Silva... bahahaha he fucking got lucky when he fought Sonnen...
toms2 2 months ago
@toms2 Lucky? Or fought through adversity? I say go with the latter.
KyockLee123 2 months ago
@57worldwide Why would Diaz be scared if he called out GSP and they're going to fight on SBW? derp
Smokesterr 2 months ago
@Smokesterr You are right, why would Diaz be scared if he called out GSP, then didn't make it to the press conferences? Why would his trainer not know where he is, why would Diaz then make excuses as to why he couldn't make it to the press conference?
If Diaz really wasn't scared, why did the fight not happen when it was originally scheduled to happen? Why did Diaz end up fighting BJ Penn?
I guess Diaz just doesn't give a fuck, calls out GSP and doesn't actually want to fight him. Not scared.
57worldwide 2 months ago 4
@57worldwide Conference shenanigans I'll give you that one, But the fight didn't happen when originally scheduled because of how Diaz missed the press conference you just answered your own question their buddy. How do you know Diaz is scared to fight GSP? Because he "Missed the press conference"? IMHO he looked more scared to fight BJ. But him being scared to fight GSP is bs. If you didn't want to fight someone would you call him out??
Smokesterr 2 months ago
@Smokesterr I don't really think that Diaz is scared of GSP. I also don't think GSP is scared of Diaz. It will be a hard fight for either of them, Diaz could beat GSP. I just don't think he will.
I'm interested in seeing how GSP will go about defending the title from Diaz. Diaz has a height advantage, and is a very unorthodox striker. I'm not sure how GSP's team are going to prepare for this; it would be hard to spar against someone in preparation for a fight against Diaz.
57worldwide 2 months ago
@57worldwide Diaz isn't scared of GSP dude...Even Diaz said he has more respect for BJ, than for GSP. GSP is a good catch-wrestler, & very good at position, position, position--everyone respects what he does. BUT--no fighters are threatened by him, except Hughes-lol; they all know he doesn't like to finish fights. He doesn't want to put himself out on the line to do that! Its not like Diaz is fighting Anderson dude. Anywayz, any1 from the 209--is always ready to bring it, win or lose homie!
bocajjp1 2 months ago
@bocajjp1 GSP tried to finish fighters. He doesn't take stupid risks though. I think he would like to finish fights, but as an example, when he knocked down Jake Shields with a head kick, it would have probably been getting away from the game plan if he was to leap into Jake's guard. Yes, he may have been able to finish the fight, but that would have been a risk. If you are in the fight game, you want to keep your opponent away from their game plan.
57worldwide 2 months ago
@57worldwide You obviously don't know who nick diaz. Besides george just pulled out of ANOTHER fight and people are posting articles everywhere asking if he should be stripped of his belt lmao.
TheDrunkwraith 1 month ago
@TheDrunkwraith *who nick diaz is*
TheDrunkwraith 1 month ago
@TheDrunkwraith From what I have read, he will relinquish his belt. Also, that he has a torn ACL. He is injured. Do you think it would be wise to fight with a torn ACL?
57worldwide 1 month ago
@57worldwide Of course it wouldn't, but EVERYONE is using the exact same excuse this year and its pretty fishy to me. 2 years ago people actually got injured here and there, this year almost every big fight has been postponed or dropped completely due to KNEE injuries. Never in my life have I seen so many knee injuries come around with only high level fighters. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I just don't see why only big fights are being postponed everywhere you look.
TheDrunkwraith 1 month ago
@TheDrunkwraith Right, and GSP hasn't been out because of an injury for literally years. Injuries happen, especially when training at high intensity. Injured knees are serious and usually take a long time to heal. It's not like it's something you could realistically fight through (or continue competing at a high level in any sport).
57worldwide 1 month ago
@57worldwide Very true, that's why it's weird that everyone is suddenly getting knee injuries this year but every other year it always differed. Maybe GSP is hurt but I can't have faith in a man that hasn't finished a fight since Serra (bj quitting doesn't count).
TheDrunkwraith 1 month ago
@TheDrunkwraith I guess we'll see. It will be a long way away though - and I was looking forward to the GSP-Diaz fight. If Diaz beats GSP (which may not happen straight away - would GSP get a title shot straight away when he returns? Will Diaz be champ? etc) there will be the whole 'it wasn't GSP in his prime' bullshit argument.
I'm still looking forward to a fight between them, but it is less likely to happen, factoring everything in. Maybe GSP will be too old to challenge for the title?
57worldwide 1 month ago
@TheDrunkwraith so you notice a correlation between Big fighter and knee injury and you rather perceive that as an excuse but not the consequence of being a Big fighter i.e. training harder than everyone else?
0961743 1 month ago
@57worldwide Maybe the dude just hates press conferences, i remember back when tito was in his prime...he skipped out on something like 5 or 6 conferences...he still got to fight because Dana needed that big fight for the UFC back in the day but NOW fighters have to be professional with the media? there fucking trained killers, Diaz aint scared brotha, its probably way more complicated than we will ever know.
fade2black232 1 month ago
@fade2black232 Yeah, I agree. I wasn't being dead serious, I don't really think Diaz is scared. He missed the press conferences and the fight was cancelled.
It's just stupid that people would try to claim GSP is scared, implying he isn't injured. If true, it's a serious claim. If false, it's a ridiculous rumour. That's really all I was trying to say (replying to a comment that GSP is scared to fight Diaz).
I already went into details about when/if they get to fight, if you want to read more.
57worldwide 1 month ago
@57worldwide wtf are you talking about, he's not scared, he's just a full blown nut case, who the hell can say why people like him do anything. A nut case and an overrated fighter in my opinion, wins by rope a dope, only with his head instead of the guard like ali. When he loses his chin, his career is over.

57worldwide 1 week ago
@57worldwide gsp is the one who chose the surgery that takes a longer healing time on purpose and they'll fight when diaz beats condit and becomes the interim champ. then gsp will probably lay on him for five rounds
disturbed157 1 week ago
@disturbed157 I'm sick of discussing this. I WAS NOT SERIOUSLY SAYING DIAZ IS SCARED. I was replying to someone who said GSP is scared of Diaz. If you want to know what I think, click on 'see all', and read my other comments. I don't like repeating myself, and don't like to copy + paste.

@57worldwide GSP had gotten injured and BJ Penn was called in. Simples. Diaz will get GSP.

@57worldwide Diaz ain't scared...
toms2 2 months ago
@toms2 'I don't really think that Diaz is scared of GSP' - my words. Thanks for repeating something which I had already stated, I needed to make sure my opinion was understood.
If Silva got lucky when Chael Sonnen had far too much testosterone than was allowed or could naturally be possible, what would Chael getting lucky be? I guess that would be if Silva wasn't coming into the fight injured, and if Silva had more testosterone than Chael.

@MixedMartialArts101 ...thanks for the reply...recognizes the hype behind GSP? i think only a person who has followed ufc since it's beginings as NHB has the ability to be objective in this simple matter.
i just don't understand how in the fuck people look at a player with a few loses (not a big deal), but only 6 title defenses calls him greatest p4p. boxers have to wait until their numbers are at least 40-60 wins before they even attempt the say who is the greatest...6 wins...really?
doctorsizzle 4 months ago
@MixedMartialArts101 shit...look how hard a minority needs to work...people want silva to clear out the light heavyweight division before they consider him the greatest p4p. yet gsp can continue to punch out grapplers and wrestlers and get hype.
bullshit.

hes still p5p best figher. anderson has 4 losses, and their probally the most embarrasing losses from nobodys ive ever seen.
graveyard090 5 months ago
@graveyard090 your really stupid. gsp is not the best P4P compared to silva in UFC anderson is undefeated. 14 title defenses 95% of them in TKO or submission.
GSP got the belt in 2006, it is NOW 2011 and he's only defended his belt 6 times. 5 of which were in decision and he has lost twice in ufc alone.
anderson has been fighting far longer than GSP. GSP is talented, but he's nowhere near silva.

GSP only trained for 10 days before the fight and started doubting himself during the fight because of his lack of training. He severely underestimated Serra and bought into the hype around him. This was touched upon in The Striking Truth interesting little documentary for anyone interested.

@twopinacoladas He may not of trained much but, he did not only train for 10 days. Thats not true
UltimateGinger1 7 months ago
@UltimateGinger1 It is true it was a "crash course" in training was what they said only 10 days. He didn't take the fight seriously and bought into how great everyone said he was, once he got in the cage he began to doubt himself I believe because the lack of training. This is what got him turned around and made him more motivated to not have that happen again watch the movie.
