I'm going to throw out there, that, if people aren't calling for Peter, it's because the system only makes you let 10 calls period, at least that's what I've experienced over the course of three days. Not 10 calls per day or anything like he says here. I've spent more than a few hours trying to find a way to make more calls, but I haven't found one place on the system that will let me do so. Something's wrong with the setup of the system, at least in my experience.

Left info concerning your website everywhere I could. Everyone was polite to me. No one was answering and then cutting me off...well, the very first guy to answer did, but there was not one to say 'no way i'd vote for schiff.'

Peter, I think another very powerful way to reach others is to try to get your videos to go viral on FaceBook. By folks adding a link to one of your youtube videos on their FaeBook feed (it is very easy to do), new folks will be able to easily see you and discover you and see what you stand for. And this recommendation coming from a trusted friend on FaceBook will go very far. Maybe you could post a video about how to do this as well...
Political reps calling people get the same treatment as telemarketers. It's better to use a non-intrusive, innovative method of reaching out. Facebook is a great way to go (especially since much of your supporters are talented youth who dominate FB).
Also, don't count on your channel subscriptions as a representative of Connecticut supporters. For example, I live in Canada ;)

Visit Skype (dot) com, you can find a great piece of software there that lets you make voice over IP calls... all you need is a few bucks, a mic, and speakers (or a headset is best). Load up some funds and start calling. $0.02 per minute pretty much to everyone on the globe.
I understand that Mr. Schiff. It just kind of bothers me that there are people who hacked your website with the intention of sabotaging your campaign can now have access to a phone list sponsored by your campaign.
I don't think opponents really need a list to badmouth Peter. They could probably just come up with their own list and say they're part of Peter's campaign. Furthermore, at this point, I doubt they want to inform people about who Peter Schiff is.
As for people altering the data we take in, yes, that should be closely monitored. I imagine this has been considered and those involved with managing the list are prepared for misuse of it.
To anyone who does not live in CT, here is my suggestion:
If the caller asks if you live in CT, say no, but also mention that you feel that CT has the opportunity that pretty much no other state has. Tell them you were inspired by Schiff and wanted to help in any way possible. It's also probobly good to stress that you are volunteering, and that Peter is not paying you. This is important because it shows that you really are inspired, as most campaigns have to pay their workers. Good luck!

potential problem i see with this idea. people who dont want peter to be elected will get the numbers of the voters and call them too, they will harass the people over the phone while pretending to be a schiff supporter. peter schiff and his supporters will be blamed for the harassment

That could end up being a very embarrassing news story if the campaign isn't careful about this. Hopefully this has been thought of. Phone banks aren't new but making them so easily available might be.

Umm, what are his political postions? I'm on the site, and I dont see any Issues button or notin, like, I know he's a fan of ron paul, and I've seen the "Peter Schiff was Right" video, and that was enugh for me.

Gold is to a free market economy as traffic laws are to the transport system; as alphabet laws are to language; as dietary laws are to health; as the Rights of Man (Rule of Law) are to society; as natural laws are to nature.

Peter, I think another very powerful way to reach others is to try to get your videos to go viral on FaceBook. By folks adding a link to one of your youtube videos on their FaeBook feed (it is very easy to do), new folks will be able to easily see you and discover you and see what you stand for. And this recommendation coming from a trusted friend on FaceBook will go very far. Maybe you could post a video about how to do this as well...

Political reps calling people get the same treatment as telemarketers. It's better to use a non-intrusive, innovative method of reaching out. Facebook is a great way to go (especially since much of your supporters are talented youth who dominate FB).
Also, don't count on your channel subscriptions as a representative of Connecticut supporters. For example, I live in Canada ;)

great idea. i'm from austria so i cant donate to the campaign and obviously cant dial people in connecticut, but i'd sure like to. anyway, i do what i can and quite a few people among my friend and relatives are beginning to learn the advantages of sound money and freedom of government. also i donate to the campaigns and organisations i can. if we all do our part this world will be a more liveable place very soon

Visit Skype (dot) com, you can find a great piece of software there that lets you make voice over IP calls... all you need is a few bucks, a mic, and speakers (or a headset is best). Load up some funds and start calling. $0.02 per minute pretty much to everyone on the globe.

I don't think opponents really need a list to badmouth Peter. They could probably just come up with their own list and say they're part of Peter's campaign. Furthermore, at this point, I doubt they want to inform people about who Peter Schiff is.
As for people altering the data we take in, yes, that should be closely monitored. I imagine this has been considered and those involved with managing the list are prepared for misuse of it.

To anyone who does not live in CT, here is my suggestion:
If the caller asks if you live in CT, say no, but also mention that you feel that CT has the opportunity that pretty much no other state has. Tell them you were inspired by Schiff and wanted to help in any way possible. It's also probobly good to stress that you are volunteering, and that Peter is not paying you. This is important because it shows that you really are inspired, as most campaigns have to pay their workers. Good luck!

potential problem i see with this idea. people who dont want peter to be elected will get the numbers of the voters and call them too, they will harass the people over the phone while pretending to be a schiff supporter. peter schiff and his supporters will be blamed for the harassment

Good point about anyone being able to make calls (and possibly sabotage the campaign). How would anyone know? That could end up being a very embarrassing news story if the campaign isn't careful about this. Hopefully this has been thought of. Phone banks aren't new but making them so easily available might be.
