bullshit. usb only gives 5.25 volts. but fans need 12 volts. there would be a lot of resistance and the fan would not even run. you can even short circuit your pc

its becuase its a laptop you cant put it in

there isnt enough space and the fan would in the end get in the way

BUT

if you go inside your laptop there should be a built in fan

now see which fan is more powerful your laptops or the monitors

if the monitors is just take out the other one and put this one in

@thegamingdream Sorry I meant for my PC ive made a fan that works on PC but I want to put the fan inside the case so that it will cool the graphics card and motherboard a little more. Oh well it doesn't matter anymore thanks anyway. :D

I did something similar like this but instead of one i used 2, and insted of a usb i used a 12v ac power supply. Specially made for my 360 and has been internally cool for quite sometime now.

@Spartan117JMC lol means u hade to much power going to it lol i have usb fans i rewire myself there running on 10 volts 24/7 no problems there hook up to a dell because dell Fail at one computer solution there fail of air movements in the pc system inside the heat doesn't flow right it just stays inside an the core CPU as it gets hotter an hotter noway it can stay cooler an coolair doesn't come in right so i remade everything in costume an made usb fans an now it air flows like water!

haha i learn that to easy on my own just one thing u learn on usb is (1.red is hot) (2.black is ground) an u can wire anything that can turn on fan an something small like a light or something that can run on small volts

Use a 12v wall adapter, that will make the fan run at full speed the push more air, I did that for my 360 and it cools the disk drive.

@gangstaalvin any can work on usb just get a regual usb from a store cut it an just tap or close of white an green wire u dont need them just the red an black i made one custome an it sits in front of my new ps3 cool air blows into the hard drive up front keeping it cooler =P

@splassht speed is control how much voltegs is traveling to the the fan say like 8 volts for a cell phone charger run slow hook it up to a 10 volts or 12 give it a bit more power to go faster fan is just a fan with a computer bord attach just need volts to it to make it run can run on 5-12 volts

Don't excede  .4A or 400mA.. You will ruin your USB port.

Some people may call it a heatsink, because it is inserted into a metal plating before instalation. I have a LOR (Light-O-Rama) DMX controller that uses heatsink, as the main cooling unit, but you can just call it a fan:D
