Um.. on the same line as "(none) and Render Que" above where all your layers are... go to the far right of that line and there is an arrow pointing down with 4 lines next to it. Click on columns and then tick modes on.

Then it shows next to your layers.

No idea what the hot key is.

im an after effects rookie and i have run into so many problems. i am trying to do this efect along with the track motion effect so as to put text on the hood of a moving car. one thing that happens is that the shadow effect only lasts one frame. how can i make it last for about 3 seconds? can any one please help me or make a video tutorial about how to put 3d text with shadow on the hood of a car? thank you im new.
