Looks like fun, i reckon i might get one. He says metal detecting is a sport, is that true? I thaught sports involve a degree of competition with someone else. Detecting looks more like a fun past time than a sport. Still looks like fun though.

It's incredible to me as to how BAD are some people's technique. That lady who was in the field is missing at least 80 % of the area she's trying to scan.

I love the rectangular coil. I f you think about it, there is less coil and weight than a circular coil with the diameter of the length of that rectangle, but with the arch of motion of 180 degrees covers EXACTLY the same area as a circular coil would. I'm going to have to get one of those!
