@KoMmIzZaR98 Classic opinion of someone who has never seen a lower league football match. In 2007, Wycombe reached the league cup semi final and took Chelsea to a second leg. They are probably much more physical and better technically than the Nike academy lads. They have pro contracts... the academy boys dont for a reason!

im not sure if this nike academy would get u into arsenal manu or chelsea

after all, if u really have the talent, u might have been spotted and would have been playing for the club at a very young age (eg Jack Wilshere, Emmanuel Frimprong)

i think these academies can get u into the professional leagues, but it would highly unlikely that these lads would get into any top clubs

@markfab1996 buuut, not all talents are spotted at a young age (sadly) or any age for that matter. i read once, you could be Maradona playing in Canada, but because youre playing in a country where not many scouts are posted, you may never get your chance.

Wycombe Wanderers have one of the leading Youth Systems in the UK.

Chelsea have a BAD youth team, and I do recall them losing 5-1 to Wycombe Wanderers in a pre season friendly? You may say 'It was only the youngsters' but it's still Chelsea, and there has been millions put into Chelsea's youth system, so by now you would think they could beat a non league team Crawley. They couldn't.

They never said it was to play teams like Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea. It's to develop them into professional players, no matter who it's for. Those lads obviously aren't good enough for Prem clubs, otherwise they would have been snapped up.

I think compared with last year , the coaches of the Nike Academy now want result, their job is to help the players go to a higher level. Last year it was a try out, for every one. This year everything has gone to more serious level. And as a follower of the Nike Academy I think this improves and asks more of the players.
