It was a real crash, The stunt rider was really committed and performed the crash perfectly for me. no special effects at all.
I have crashed exactly like this twice due to cars cutting me off... So It is a very real scenario re-created.
In a scenario like this there are two people at fault. The rider not staying visible and riding to close to the car not leaving himself enough room to get out of trouble, and the car driver not looking.
@ZoomFilmTV - If so, they should be arrested! Ruining a FZ6 just to shot a commercial broght tears in my eyes. I miss my FZ6 :(........ But seriously, I believe it's not a real crash. It's a highside and highsides are very unpredictable, in terms of injuries for the pilot. If it was a real crash, I believe the rider would prefer to fall on the lowside.
Kudos to the stunt rider for highsiding on command like that. That's gotta take some balls, because I found it scary as hell whenever I'd get into loose gravel.
haha I like how they make it look as it's the rider's fault altough it's clear that the car changed lane way too fast! if it was a car instead of the bike it would have crashed as well! lol but yes I agree stay allert!! car drivers are fuck in dangerous! LOL
last april iw as riding to work and a car pulled out in front of me i tboned it at 70kmh did a frontflip over a roof of the car i had a compound fracture of the finger lost half a pint of blood , the ambos thought i had a problems with my neck and my arm went black the next day it wasnt broken though . but the point is i am exremely lucky to walk away from it, though i spent a day in hospital havent been able to get on a bike again . but i will in due time ! But yeah just be careful
ok - they should do an ad with a young one at wheel of car on mobile then change lanes into a motorcyclist run him/her off road - Today my husband had this happen to him, the car door against his leg, he manages to keep bike upright trying to signal to her, she then realises & puts her hand up to say sorry, he is almost run off road - but that is ok right?? I don't think so, this man is a father, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew & friend to ppl. Her licence should be taken off her!
Can I point out this ad should be directed at car drivers. They need to be alert about motor bikes on the road. My paretns have both nearly be taken out by drivers who don't look, and don't indicate to change lanes. My parents are very alert riders.
And whenever there is a motor bike accident it always the riders fault which is a load of bull. Car drivers need to be more aware
@willowhippy . I totally agree with you & more often than not the media portrays the rider at fault even without the forensic unit having carried out their final analysis. As long as there are bikes on the road, there will continue to be bikeism.
@willowhippy i am only watching this vid as i intended to post it to a mates facebook profile after today when i pulled out from the kerb after checking my mirrors and looking over my shoulder as i pulled out and my mate on his bike (just a coincidence i happened to know the rider) had to swerve around me and flipped me off before realizing it was me, cars (especially some 4wds) have a blind spot that can hide a whole car and a bike rider is alot smaller than a car. be concious of this. always,
I just smashed up my bike in that exact situation. A car switched lanes last second with no indication at all. I had to brake even though I was at an angle (always a bad outcome) down I went and the car just drove off as though nothing had happened. The car behind that one hit my bike and shoved it into me and dragged us up the road.
I got lucky and walked away. It could've been so much worse.
Too many messages for this ad to be reallas effective as it could have been...they'd have been better producing a campaign of spots with each ad targeting a specific safety message rather than cramming it all into one ad
Aw, he forgot to give the car driver a finger after he turned =(

that was definitely the drivers fault, the bike was in lane, the car cut infront of him.

That's a pretty realistic looking crash! Good ad. Now make one for drivers who don't pay attention to bikes.

most (like over 80%) of motorcycle riders ride irresponsibly.

So did a stunt rider do this? Looks like he took one hell of a hit.
I agree that they made it seem like it was the rider's fault when it wasn't.

They forgot one: Don't lock up your brakes (in conjunction with go practice emergency stopping maneuvers)

Hmmm that fender looks awfully high, wonder if the police fined him after they cleaned him off the road...
Wonder why so many other nations show ad's that encourage other drivers to be aware of motorcycles instead of just targeting us.

@coxcox1987 If you turn your head instead of relying on your mirrors then that gets rid of the black spot.
