  • Thats fucked up,somebody need to pick his ass up and bang him on the exculator!!

  • Oh my goodness. I wish I was in that class at that age! Some of my flight instructors couldn't explain things this well and I'm PAYING them haha :p. I really wish there were more people in the world like this Airline Pilot willing to teach and take time to spread knowledge to younger people indepthly to help them learn and understand.

  • I think its great that Tom Hanks is giving somthing back :p

  • lol i wonder what the kids would like if he explained everything like he normally would. i want to be just like him one day, it's my dream =].

  • he sounds like tom hanks

  • WOW, I feel like a kindergarten kid, when I was yr 6 I knew way more than this

  • i would be so glued in and taking notes hoyl fuck these kids dotn know how lucky they are for to have a speech from an airline pilot

  • I bet the pilot has his CRJ 700 in the Parking lot :P.... So who wants a ride!!! I DO :D

  • Im 32 now, i dreaming to become a pilot, i don't know that at my age right now will still be acceptable in the airforce...hehehe but im still hoping to become one of them...

  • you can always drive a light one or a helicopter... but you should start now...

  • @magmaguy im not saying that i have no gots, but what is the guarantee after graduation from pilot school. it would take four years to study. im 36 or 37 after 4 years. Most airline company preffered to hire a pilot from airforce..

  • i wish to have poilt in my school

  • that`s pretty cool to have pilot training at schoo!!

  • im a pilot :) for one you dont start like that lol

  • Anybody here a pilot? It's my dream but I dont know if I sould join the Air Force or go regional...

  • If only it was a simple choice haha.

  • Well if you want to fly larger aircraft for a much bigger airline then go through the Air Force

  • Yeah thanks for the tip, I've been doing alot of research and I think I'd rather enjoy flying as a regional pilot and not under alot of pressure in a military enviroment.

  • Thats not true at all. I fly with a man who went through the regionals and is now flying in the rights seat of an A330. Don't go spreading info. that you don't know about.

  • Have you got any ideo how tough the air force is? Even flying a Cessna 172 is. I advice you, to fly regional. Don't be an air force pilot, just because it's free. Getting into the air force really needs effort as well.

  • alright thanks alot man

  • Airforce

  • @fsC130J what is the different between regional and pilot in an airforce. pls. give me details.

  • @gerlon30 An Air force Pilot, is Simple, they fly combat aircraft, ready to destroy any airborne or land security threats. Regional is planes that you go on, on holiday, usually called a Commercial Airliner.

  • we don`t have such presentations at our school ;(

I enviable all of you in the class...

  • Please God, make him take the hat off.

  • why?

  • SkyWest! and he's holding a CRJ-700! i would like to know who that guy is!

  • Do you work for Skywest???

  • not anymore. I used to. Still know quite a few people that work at SkyWest.

  • I want to be a pilot but its very expensive to pay the school

  • i agree it you. Im 15 and a student pilot now. i take flight lessons at my local airport. check out my channel to see some of my videos. comment

  • He sounds like Tom Hanks

  • god no wonder no wants to be a pilot. this guy needs to tell these kids that if you become a pilot youll get paid a crazy amount of money, travel the world, have an amazing office view, and pick up chicks really easy. lol just kidding dont freak out people.

  • I bet half or all the kids are probably thinking...."Jeeeeeeze...this guy is dry as toast ese!"

    JD

  • Yeah, looks like it. I would be so interested though. :P

  • cool

  • You can tell this guy was an instructor back in the day, brings back memories

  • haha.... 2:16!

  • @USAF300 What did he say? I couldn't hear...

  • @flyzapva He was either late raising his hand that he had put his hand outside the window while driving before, or he was going to ask the pilot a question and interupted him but and never said anything : )

  • add,

isnt there a sequel of this? :)

  • Would love to hear him explaining the aerodynamics phenomenon to a bounch of 6th grade kids. Would love to hear how he's putting it up in a educational way!

  • ha ha ha ha

  • I'm training to become a pilot. This video is really cute. :)

  • Omg dude, you are totally right! Well, that´s another point of view

  • pilot in school?class for what?:S

  • too bad for Germany

  • ...those kids should be able to legally log ground school time...LOL

  • go check the parking lot! 757's dont need keys to start!

  • He did a really great job of simplifying very difficult concepts. He must have been a flight instructor... it was coming back out of him.

  • Love to teach kids and hope one day wen I'll become a pilot will do same thing

  • looks to be a Delta crew member based on the uniform. Pointless information I guess but when you see them all on a daily basis you recognize it all. I did this for my god daughters class last year and they got a total blast out of it.

  • SkyWest Pilot, honey

  • did the pilot at the end say two of the forces that we want, and two forces that we don't want.... that is dead wrong, if it wasn't for drag, and gravity, we would never be able to slow down, nor descend, so we need all for forces equally. Also what makes the plane to fly in a strait, level, and unaccelerated flight is all forces being equal, so we equally need them (: good pilot though, very informative.

  • i think he was being simplistic for the kids

  • yea true! i agree

  • well, at least I hope he was.

  • haha good one lol. ye let's hope so, with that many lives on his hands, he has to be perfect.

  • At the next career day, he should explain the meanings of Junior Man, Extension, Reduced Rest, geting bumped from the Jumpseat as well as what the phrase "bring your Union Rep" means.

  • man my school does career day but dont do anything flyinig related and im realy interested in aviation and want to become an airline pilot.

  • The pilot have lots of patience.

He might teach the kids to fly an airliner in the future.

    Great video.

    5/5

  • my school needs to have a career day...

  • my niece made me do this and it sucked. never again i tell. half the kids weren't paying attention and the other half stared at you. and then u get some stupid question like are u a real pilot. GRRRRR. of course i am. y am i doing this then u little .....

  • Sorry about that! The class the pilot taught was very interested and the kids loved it!!( The Plot had fun too.) You should give it a try again sometimes!!!

  • Lolz.. If you came to my school i would pay attention.. I LOVE planes =P

  • Aww, ah well. Sometimes you'll get an aviation nut who'll love it. :)

  • Ha, Im a senior in high school and I have to do a career analysis thing and Im going to do commercial pilot, I think this guy is gonna help me figure out what to say to the class!

  • I bet that he would love to help you!!Let me know if you need his help for real.

  • What airline did he fly for.

  • He now flys for United Airline.

  • th8sss sooo cool

  • he probably has an instructor rating

  • Instructor Certificate, Sweetie

  • Looks cool, but would have been more awesome if they just took those kids on a flight and have a class field trip!!

  • 2:16 LOL

  • got it! Oh never mind.

  • What does he say

  • he says nevermind

  • I would just show cool videos and tell funny stories

  • thats cool!!!

i would totally like to have that at my school.

  • I know those middle school guys are loving it. They're not bored at all. They're dreaming of flying the plane themselves - and I bet some of them will. My hat off to the captain - and his great attitude.

  • These guys even understand what is A-I-R-P-L-A-N-E!

  • damn beaners cant grasp this basic stuff, this guy is wasting his time trying to teach animals about aircraft

  • its sad that that guys is wasting his time, those kids are like what the hell i dont give a damn.. well atleast its better than school... poor guy, i thought it was cool though and im like 13 years older than those damn

  • Whatever dude.....at least one kid there dug what he was saying and in turn will pursue a career in aviation.....you were the one sleeping in class getting bad grades weren't you? Got your license....bbbbarely!

  • ah no. ive got more license than you probably. i gonna be captain in january

  • That is so cool. Congratulations!

  • acutally i did sleep in some classes. but i never got bad grads straight B's all the way through

  • Thats super cool! I wish this would happen at my school!

  • why'd that person stop it?!?! That was so educational! Cmon, free airplane lessons! I know I'm gonna pay the big bucks for that, so this was a good thing.

  • That pilot is really hot!

  • don't do it in greece unless you are a born crook

  • Did a multi ride with an airline captian in the past... with my instructor was an airline captian. So much more flight time and stories under their belt. As compared to a low time instructor outta flight school.

  • don't do this job...very expensive to train.

  • what?shut up

  • It's expensive, but worth it.

  • It was funny because as he was about to explain something I was already thinking it in my head. Then he would say it exactly as I would...everything from the wind to the tail. As the video ended he was about to explain the 4 forces of flight: lift, drag, weight, and thrust. Makes me want to do one of these career days.

  • lucky kids...
