Oh my goodness. I wish I was in that class at that age! Some of my flight instructors couldn't explain things this well and I'm PAYING them haha :p. I really wish there were more people in the world like this Airline Pilot willing to teach and take time to spread knowledge to younger people indepthly to help them learn and understand.
Im 32 now, i dreaming to become a pilot, i don't know that at my age right now will still be acceptable in the airforce...hehehe but im still hoping to become one of them...
@magmaguy im not saying that i have no gots, but what is the guarantee after graduation from pilot school. it would take four years to study. im 36 or 37 after 4 years. Most airline company preffered to hire a pilot from airforce..
Yeah thanks for the tip, I've been doing alot of research and I think I'd rather enjoy flying as a regional pilot and not under alot of pressure in a military enviroment.
Thats not true at all. I fly with a man who went through the regionals and is now flying in the rights seat of an A330. Don't go spreading info. that you don't know about.
Have you got any ideo how tough the air force is? Even flying a Cessna 172 is. I advice you, to fly regional. Don't be an air force pilot, just because it's free. Getting into the air force really needs effort as well.
@gerlon30 An Air force Pilot, is Simple, they fly combat aircraft, ready to destroy any airborne or land security threats. Regional is planes that you go on, on holiday, usually called a Commercial Airliner.
god no wonder no wants to be a pilot. this guy needs to tell these kids that if you become a pilot youll get paid a crazy amount of money, travel the world, have an amazing office view, and pick up chicks really easy. lol just kidding dont freak out people.
@flyzapva He was either late raising his hand that he had put his hand outside the window while driving before, or he was going to ask the pilot a question and interupted him but and never said anything : )
Would love to hear him explaining the aerodynamics phenomenon to a bounch of 6th grade kids. Would love to hear how he's putting it up in a educational way!
looks to be a Delta crew member based on the uniform. Pointless information I guess but when you see them all on a daily basis you recognize it all. I did this for my god daughters class last year and they got a total blast out of it.
did the pilot at the end say two of the forces that we want, and two forces that we don't want.... that is dead wrong, if it wasn't for drag, and gravity, we would never be able to slow down, nor descend, so we need all for forces equally. Also what makes the plane to fly in a strait, level, and unaccelerated flight is all forces being equal, so we equally need them (: good pilot though, very informative.
At the next career day, he should explain the meanings of Junior Man, Extension, Reduced Rest, geting bumped from the Jumpseat as well as what the phrase "bring your Union Rep" means.
my niece made me do this and it sucked. never again i tell. half the kids weren't paying attention and the other half stared at you. and then u get some stupid question like are u a real pilot. GRRRRR. of course i am. y am i doing this then u little .....
Sorry about that! The class the pilot taught was very interested and the kids loved it!!( The Plot had fun too.) You should give it a try again sometimes!!!
Ha, Im a senior in high school and I have to do a career analysis thing and Im going to do commercial pilot, I think this guy is gonna help me figure out what to say to the class!
I know those middle school guys are loving it. They're not bored at all. They're dreaming of flying the plane themselves - and I bet some of them will. My hat off to the captain - and his great attitude.
its sad that that guys is wasting his time, those kids are like what the hell i dont give a damn.. well atleast its better than school... poor guy, i thought it was cool though and im like 13 years older than those damn
Whatever dude.....at least one kid there dug what he was saying and in turn will pursue a career in aviation.....you were the one sleeping in class getting bad grades weren't you? Got your license....bbbbarely!
why'd that person stop it?!?! That was so educational! Cmon, free airplane lessons! I know I'm gonna pay the big bucks for that, so this was a good thing.
Did a multi ride with an airline captian in the past... with my instructor was an airline captian. So much more flight time and stories under their belt. As compared to a low time instructor outta flight school.
It was funny because as he was about to explain something I was already thinking it in my head. Then he would say it exactly as I would...everything from the wind to the tail. As the video ended he was about to explain the 4 forces of flight: lift, drag, weight, and thrust. Makes me want to do one of these career days.
Thats fucked up,somebody need to pick his ass up and bang him on the exculator!!
