That would help but 12-15lbs of guitar hanging from your neck for a gig would kill your back. Same reason why Mustaine only uses his flying W (double neck V) for only a couple songs, is the weight.

mustaine is a pussy. any real man (or woman) can play an entire gig with a 12lbs guitar on with a bit of exercise and correct posture

The flying W weighs anywhere from 20-25lbs. as weight not heavy, but as a big guitar cradeling from your neck for a whole gig its quite heavy.

The Gibson Les Paul 1960 Custom (he just played it) is sure as hell fuckin' heavy...

When you're playing it live it's like playing a cement block, but it's SO awesome!

And someone that goes to lift some weights before every show told me that.

One thing I can say is that its just the pruchase of a lifetime..

What a piece. This my suggestion..Gibson Les Paul Custom 1957 VOS with Marshall Plexi 1959RR.

@MikeGibson4life Thanks for the suggestion man...i played a standard 1958 VOS once and i fell in love with her....how do you feel the neck...?i found it really comfortable even if it's bigger than the 60's slim taper used on the standard "custom black beauty".

And then the VOS finish looks way better than the gloss for me.

@Noel355 The 57 VOS Neck feels very comfortable for every music style I plyed. Notes just go down without you touch them!XD I also agree with you that the gloss finish really sucks after you've seen a VOS one. The only problem is the f*ckin price man! Gibson priced it to 6351$ without taxes, and the 1959rr costs more than 5500$ new. But maybe you can find some under 3500$ on internet. I bought mine from Simple Plan's guitarist, Jeff Stinco. Asked 3250$and I dealed it 2750$ ( THNKS GOD!!)
