This grates because Al Corley and especially Pamela Sue Martin could act, unlike their replacements Coleman and Samms...I may not have seen this show when it originally aired, as I was born in 1983 but the DVD boxsets are good and the repeats on UK Gold in 1999/2000 was my introduction to the show... The first season is my favourite as it was a serious drama then, not the camp OTT melodrama it later became.

Wonderfull concept! This soap opera really could be make. Little Blake isnt a little kid anymore, he could be already at his 30s, so...what a problem to hire proper actors and made this! But if its gonna happen, a producer should pay a BaileySEA at least a little for a concept :)

Hayden Panettiere as Krystina Carrington DOESN'T work. Krystina was born in 1984. Hayden Panettiere was born in 1989. When the original series ended in 1989, Krystina was already of school age. In soaps, most characters age FORWARD at a rapid rate, They don't age BACKWARDS. Plus, Krystle was already gone by then. Tom Welling would be a good drawing card as L.B. Colby and he is just about the right age as are the rest of the actors "playing" the younger roles.

Remember, all those Sunday night epic novels turned TV sagas that would take three or four Sundays to finish, ex: Woman of Substance; I'll Take Manhattan; Scruples, Mistral's Daughter, Till We Meet Again, North and South, War and Remembrance, etc..Whatever happen? They just don't make TV shows like that anymore. I know it was big budget but it was so worth it, and it wasn't like they didn't make it up with all the advertising. I guess that producing dept. no longer exists at the studios today.

I remember years ago around 2004 - '05 it was rumored that ABC was actually in the works creating a prime-time soap opera called Dynasty: Next Generation. Till this day, I always wondered what happened and if it will still happen. I hope so. I am so looking forward to it, if it's true. I hope it's the highest rating show on TV.

I enjoyed it! However, it is disappointing to know that I have only seen television series as fierce as "Dynasty" by becoming a fan of Telenovelas on the Spanish language television networks such as Univision and Telemundo.

Hey, to all people living in Britain! Its on every weeknight at 6pm on CBS Drama, but if you cant watch it then, its on at 1pm early. Its going through all nine seasons. Its on season 4 now and Kirby & Pamela Sue Martin will soon leave the show. Kirby won't be back until "Dynasty - The Reunion" with the ugly new fake Adam, and Pamela Sue Martin will sadly not be returning at all, even though she was the better Fallon. I think the fake Adam is only in the reunion and season 9. Or just reunion.

I'm 33 and i was addicted to night time soaps and Jackie Collins novels as a kid. Dallas, Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, Hotel, Dynasty and The Colbys but Dynasty was by far my favorite!

@LuckyDee74 gentedumare77's was way better. Hayden Panettiere as Krystina Carrington ruins it. Nothing against Miss Panetierre, but, as I said in another comment, the Krystina character is a good five years older than Hayden Panettiere.

@LuckyDee74 I was 12 or 13, and I had to watch it from behind the curtain of our TV room. coz, it was catagorized as "more suitable for adults" in Sri Lanka. now I am in my late 30's, I have downloaded all the episodes, and enjoing every minute of it. Must admit, some tears roll down my face seing everybody in Dynasty. x

Well, it was brought back in 1992 as a mini-series reunion, and a reunion special in 2006 with stars talking about the show.
