  • man anyone who thinks Obama is a socialist is proving themselves time and time again that Obama will win in 2012. Was Teddy Rosevelt a socialist for breaking up banks and going with anti-trust policies? No, he was just pro-regulation of the private sector.

Mark my words this nation will shift back once they realize what no regulation turns out to be. Talk is cheap, one person's ideology is another person's exploitation.

  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of ABC News' This Week With George Stephanopoulos' Report On Obama On Gov't Takeover "Vitriol" In Health Debate On Sunday Morning, September 20, 2009.

  • if this country suppose be so christian why do you people worry so much about what your children will pay for if you are really christian why dont you trust in GOD and let him take care of you each day knowing he will proved

  • What a peice of shit obama is. period.

  • Obama has not changed shit! 2009 was the bloodiest year in Afghanistan, we are still in Iraq, he is spending out of control, we still have illegal wire-tapping, Wall St. recieved loads of money from Obama, same Sec. of Def., lobbyists in the white house...

Bush was bad but this guy is worse because he does it with a false front. He is no liberal. He is a neo-con. He is a crony capitalist. He is a puppet of the highest order.

  • @poopstreek

"Wall St. recieved loads of money"....Wall St. is made up millions of middle class peoples investments. many middle class people who really cant afford to lose. billionaires lose a billionaire and are okay...middle class folks lose 50 k and are homeless...now im sure yer smart enough to piece the rest of that up..

  • @gheemunniept2 You are the first person I have encountered who defends bailing our Wall St....

Congrats, you are a confirmed fascist.

    Yup. Look it up--fascist.

  • Search "Oath Keepers"

  • I would agree with that.

  • obama is a cool customer....and stephapadomus or whatever his name is....is a lil troll.....i can see why it would be annoying to talk to obama though because he always keeps his cool...he never raises his voice.....he always want's to talk about the " REAL ISSUES" and not petty bullshit....and that's all the media and the right wing are consumed with...PETTY BULLSHIT....obama is showing that he is the only....or at least one of few....adults in this so called "debate"

  • adolf hitler also "kept his cool" and was probably the best public speaker this planet has ever seen, now, i'm not saying obama is going to introduce a second holocaust, but he will drive this country into the ground in a similar way but with a leninist twist without regard to american citizens. in my opinion he's an egoist that suffers from hubris and he only cares about his legacy and name and how many biographies are written about him, he doesn't give a flying fuck about the working man

  • The current global monetary system of unbacked currencies is now only 38 years old. Nixon took us off the gold standard in 1971, the same year oil production peaked in the US. Our debt and oil imports have both increased exponentially ever since. Carter told us the truth about the energy crisis in 1977--but we couldn't handle the truth.

  • I agree that it was a terrible idea to take us off the gold standard. However, Carter was way off in 1977. He said we were going to run out of natural gas very quickly, but we have over 100 years worth of natural gas. I'm not saying we shouldn't expand into new technologies that are better, but Carter and the other liberals just wanted something to scare the public into giving them more control. Sadly, the GOP has joined this camp too. Both sides of the isle are failing America.

  • The key concept is that the availabiltiy of non-renewables is declining. They will become ever more expensive with continued growth, and eponentially more so with exponential growth. As Carter warned, our standard of living must decline. Resource wars will become more prevalent in futile attempts to protect diminishing "national interests". People need to be told the truth, better sooner than later.

  • Thomas Jefferson said

"we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt "

"It is to secure our rights that we resort to government at all"

"the government that is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves."

the government shouldnt even have as much control as they do

how it has gotten this far is beyond me

please enlighten yourselves people we do not need these tyrants running our lives to their agenda. We are free!!!!

  • I think you'd agree hes a better deceiver then Bush. Bush couldn't even put his sentences together. Not so with Obama.

  • no one can be worst than the bushes....lol

  • Give it a year!Same old shit new asshole!

  • what does that say about the states....full of assholes .lol

  • I believe and trust Obama will do the right thing for the Middle Class. Im sick and tired of the scardy-cat nit picking bullshit. Just do it and get it over with. If it isnt perfect we can adjust it. Just stop the whining and give it a chance.

  • Comment (Lie) of the Week:

OBAMA: George, the fact that you looked up Merriams Dictionary, the definition of tax increase, indicates to me that youre stretching a little bit right now. Otherwise, you wouldnt have gone to the dictionary to check on the definition. I mean what

Now Merriam-Webster is part of a vast right-wing conspiracy to discredit Barack Obama?!?!?

Obamas is either all talk and no action, or all action and no talk (no debate, no deliberation, no public discussion.)

  • Obama is the Blair Witch President.

  • Kanye was not the biggest issue worth talking about either, but you found the time to comment on that you Ass hole !!!

  • Ironic that the big banks are eager to pay back the US government (and our taxpayers); yet, here is a major donator to Obama/Hillary accused of defrauding the big banks!

Change we can believe in is here! Transparency in government! Let's regulate compensation ASAP to ensure we protect America.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Hassan Nemazee, a fund-raiser for Barack Obama.

  • 2:40-2:53

Nationalized auto industry, nationalized banks, and now a push towards more nationalization in the health care industry. I think they have legitimate concerns.

I'm all for sensible debate but that's not what's happening. What's happening is Obama is saying that he wants to drive costs down and get people affordable coverage yet they are focused on just one issue (where's the mention of the FDA and federal regulations on health care) that they've said won't even bring costs down.

  • Your auto industry isn't nationalised. It was bailed out of bankruptcy.

Your banks weren't nationalised. They were bailed out of bankruptcy.

If you think what you're going through is nationalisation, you have no idea what the word means!

  • It isn't? The government is funding those industries. They pay the bills so they get to make decisions.

Even if it isn't completely government controlled it is moving in that direction.

  • I don't think your government is moving in 'that direction' at all.

They just stopped some companies that really were too big to fail, from failing.

Government and the people will get their money back. They'll most likely make a massive profit on the deal too.

    That's not nationalisation.

Your government is not 'running' those companies. They're just provided short term funding to get them out of a bad situation, in order to save jobs and investments.

    That's not nationalisation.

  • I'm sorry but you are mistaken on how government is suppose to serve the people. Take GM's bailout for example, we (the taxpayers) put up 100's of millions of dollars to "save jobs" at a business "that is to big to fail" but part of that deal was that 75% of GM's production that had been left in the USA gets moved overseas. That cost this country 1000's of jobs how is that serving our country?

Saturn failed, collapsed shut their doors! In come Roger Penske, he buys to make it better

  • Too big to fail is a lame argument for bailing out bad business practice. Was the USSR too big to fail?

And what do you think happens when the companies can't pay back that money? You think the government is going to just write it off? I'm willing to bet my paycheck that there are stipulations that the government gains control of the companies that fail to pay off those bailouts.

  • Oh I agree. No company should be allowed to get into a position that it's so important to the entire economy that if it fails, if it really screws up, the entire economy is screwed.

For instance - the collapse of AIG could have taken out entire countries.

No company should be allowed to become that critical.

I've no idea if they'll all pay it back. I hope they will. But at the same time, as much as I disagree with government bailouts, I suspect it might have been the right move this time.

  • Obama boycotted FOX news because he knew that he would be asked about Van Jones and not the Chicago white sox. Obama has shown time and time again that he doesn't like to be challenged. so he goes to the networks that promote his agenda.

  • yeh stehpo you missed thr boat. Could you have given any softer of an interviewer. Obama is a liar. Where's the questions about Acorn and why couldn't he do an interview with Fox. Him and his staff are a bunch of liars

  • Wow- disingenuous at best and liar at worst on his answer regarding ACORN. Oh yeah- I'm sure he has NO idea how ACORN operates..i,e, through state and federal funding.

Tired of the elitest attitude Amercia has been punked bad!

  • Seriously.

He only helped train Acorn employees, I'm sure he is completely disconnected from the issue *rolleyes*

  • I DIDNT REALY KNOW ACORN WAS GETTING GOV FUNDS???? damn.. its good to have an honest man in OUR white house.....................

  • remember mik1111qq that he said while campaigning that he was going to go through the federal budget line by line. he consistently contradicts himself.

  • For you people who watch CNN and haven't heard of General McChrystal or the current situation in Afghanistan, he's the commander there. Sorry if you had to find out about this on Youtube.

  • The McChrystal report came out today. I wonder if he knows about that? ;)

  • Truth is he loves it! It gets people worked up. He uses it like a tool. Listen to some of his speaches were he talks down to crowds with street slang. This is the guy who went to church with rev. Wright.

  • OMG he didnt know that ACORN was getting all that money!???? Wow what an outright lie! He had meatings with the ACORN people saying he was gonna ask for there help with the changes he was going to make but he doesnt know how much he is giving them... what a crock

  • he had "meetings"

  • YOU LIE!

  • he sure don't know much about acorn

Kind of weird seeing how he said they were going to have a hand in shaping his policy decisions even before he was sworn in

I'm sorry Mr President but you lie!

  • I wonder if all this was scripted?????????

  • George Stephanopoulos - please continue to ask the important questions even if the President doesn't answer them except with gibberish.

  • Acorn is a big Obama Corn lol and he don't like you stepping on it. "not worth talking about"

  • shut up about ACORN already Congress voted to defvund it thanks to you guys. Happy now.

  • Yes

  • no Im not happy, on the contrary they arent defunded until Obama signs it into law... therefore Im not satisfied and will keep sippin the hateraid until they stop taking american tax money to fund their Illegal activities

  • LOL if you want to talk about Illegal Activities than look at the banks. Our Government doesn't even have control over the money we put in to production, its all the banks. they can make 1 billion dollars come out of thin air.

  • It has NOTHING to do with his race because he isn't even black....

  • The backwards for-profit health insurance system is killing 60 Americans a day.

How long can we keep up this morbid human sacrifice to the god of 'free market capitalism'?

  • One word spoken by a 2 year old, who is not born a capitalist or other "ist", immediately strikes down any theory of socialism or communism. That word is "mine".

To remove the need to acquire something in order to better an existence, would remove a trait that every animal on the planet possesses. A trait that is so deep seeded in human nature, where upon mankind would be nothing without it.

  • Yes, if we want a society of two-year olds your advice is sound.

But nothing about socially responsible behavior does anything to thwart making life better for ourselves, our families, and our communities.

  • Social responsibility , in order to better ones existence comes from the single citizens contribution, it should not come from government. Forced to contribute as we have seen over the last 30 years, has only created more depravity, greater ignorance, and corruption. We have no control over what it is the government feels makes you social responsible. Thats why you go to work everyday isn't it? Would you ever contribute to charities on your own? They don't think you are capable.

  • mo -

Socially responsible action is why there is government in the first place.

In a democracy we control the government - it organizes joint action desired by the community.

For example most Americans and most doctors want government-sponsored healthcare - only the selfish action of for-profit insurance industry blocks the will of the people.

If people want anarchy, the law of the jungle, and roving gangs of bullies looting, robbing, and killing then we should abolish government.

  • proudfoots - You're wrong about what Doctors and the American people, This is what is wrong with America, it is people like you who just lie to make your point and idiots believe you!!!! You're not even close to being honest.

  • "A clear majority of Americans -- 72 percent -- support a government-sponsored health care plan to compete with private insurers, a new CBS News/New York Times poll finds." June 2009.

"Doctors overwhelmingly support either a public option or a public system. Indeed, when you add the two groups together, it's more than 70 percent of respondents." Washington Post September 2009

Look like you are the liar.

  • "This is not the biggest issue in the country and something I'm not paying allot of attention to." Time to stop paying income tax. Then all these "non issues" will disappear on their own.

  • good luck with that

  • Well if it works for the head of the US Treasury it must be good for all citizens.

  • Some opponents, of healthcare, or each next issue, enlist those in very deep denial about their racism, or anti-governmentalism, to buy into one or more side issues of the greater issue as a politically correct way to express their hates and fears.

  • Joe Wilson is a racist.
