im doing everything the same except on a fatty. i get to the level i select a driving level and there is just a black screen... nothing loads. any tips?
Everyone who has discovered this needs to give the well deserved gratitude to SPAZTECHNO... iv benn looking for this for months. thanks alot dude you are a legend! fuck
I've been attempting this with MGS3 for over 2 days now and I've not had ANY luck. I keep getting a red screen that says "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2" Media disc upon launching the boot.elf file. Everything else on the backup works just fine though, so the disc in itself works, but I can never get that hacked file to.
Unfortunately not. The only one I've ever actually SEEN work is the game used in the video. They say others work...but it doesn't seem like they really do.
so......... I can do this and easily play my psx backups? btw... I've never gotten past the loading screen on my psx backups when swaping with another psx kno why?
ok got mine working without this.. I am swaping an original ps1 game to load my backup ps1 games... other than that the ps2FAT is not modded... Anything else I can do with either this or your method
Does this allow you to boot to this menu without the CD after the initial boot? Or do you have to swap out your game with the backup for it every time?
hey, i live in the UK and when i put my ps2 games on pc but i cannot see any .elf files but in the system folder i can see many .irx files but i cannot open the .irx files with apache v1.1, can u help???
But you blocked the sensors ? can you just block one sensor or do i need to
take it al apart ?

Almost no games boot with that. I think I was able to get 2 out of 30 to work. Waste of time. Just get a mod chip.

The link in the info isn't working.
Could you link to another tutorial or make a new one?
Or write it into info.

I tried using MGS3 but I keep getting the same error. Did you find a way to make it work?

Your voice is deep.... Sorry for that comment, Im retarded

This is amazing. I'm going to try this method to install fmcb. Now I don't have to spend $20 on a swap disk i would only use once! Thanks.
BTW- A guy posted about his success with this method in a forum and all the mods called him a liar and an idiot.

Hi, I read your tutorial, and was wondering...
Does this allow you to boot to this menu without the CD after the initial boot? Or do you have to swap out your game with the backup for it every time?

Great free alternative for running and installing homebrew. Tutorial is fairly easy to follow, too.
