in short this is how it could ahve been if Tomoya and Tomoyo where together instead of Nagisa and Tomoya, tbh i would have wanted to see Tomoya and Kotomi, but i dont think they did one of them together : ( but all in all its just a bonus episode, its not part of the real story so nagisa and Tomoya are still together, just njto in this bonus episode.

There's something about this anime that makes it so special from the others I've watched. The humour, sadness, and joy in this story all harmonize perfectly to make us laugh, cry, and smile. It takes talent to create the characters and breathe life into them. I guess that's what makes this so beautiful.

@TheLionsAreComing they did it because clannad is based off of a visual novel, the novel gives the viewer the choice of who you want to have your relationship with...so tomoya and nagisa are just a branch of that story line from the visual novel
