@kevgrew Jay-Zed blows chunks. Piss off wanker. Why does U2 promote these talentless american jigaboos these days? In their prime U2 wouldn't have given the time of day to pop and rap no-talents like Jay-Zed, Beyoncee, Kanye..etc. they are trying to hard to suck up to banal pop/rap/hip-hop crapulosity these days.
@kevgrew True - However I do not like Jay Z, People should realise though that him along with other rap artists have tallent. I write my own music but when I try and add lyrics, it is very hard, much harder than people realise. I look back over what I wrote and it is hard not to laugh at how it sounds so stupid. To write lyrics "right" takes some tallent. There are also those who hate U2 for no reason as well or because of Bono.
U2 = Awesom music, eg Bad, Streets, UV, Kite, ISHFWILF, One.. etc.
Was kinda surprised they played this song. But im so glad they did, it's a powerful song and was always a dream to hear it live. Best night of my life! Thanks for posting the vid! x
This is awesome... As someone who madly loves the album October, it was so great to hear such an obscure track from it... and one that was never before played live (except once and that's debatable). Bono sounds super-awesome. His voice is better than ever.
@Linsenpuppe Jay-Z is the rap artist supporting U2 on this leg of the tour. He joined them on stage the night before to rap all over this song and destroy it !
@joewillant i agree. it was cool to see it both ways, but it didn't have the same direction without jay-z. for that matter it didn't even have the same direction when it was just bono in the rehearsals.
Gives me 'effin chills hearing "Scarlet" live in 2010

for all the u2 fans that hate on JayZ
its people like you that make loving U2 more embarrassing than it should be
U2 is about respecting and accepting difference and Jay Z is one of the most talented iconic performers in music from the last 15 years
why all the hate? there is enough of it in the world already dont need narrow minded fans adding more
