Do you know when American Lafrance started installing diesel engines in their rigs? Where I am from the 1st diesel (Detroit 6V71) Lafrance's were bought in 1967. Before that they were all gasoline.
@gsm19911 The earliest factory-installed diesels in an ALF that I know of were several open-cab 900-Series tillers for Fairfax County, VA in 1966. They had Detroit 6-71's. Most 900-Series diesel pumps had 6V-53's in them, unless the pump capacity was 1250 or higher then you went with the 6-71, 8V-71, etc.
This Fire Truck was in the movie "Passenger 57" with Wesley Snipes.

Wow!! That is awesome!
It just needs a period beacon and siren to finish it off IMO. Thanks for sharing!!

This is a great old fire truck that still runs and is a hit where ever it goes. Thanks for sharing this piece of history.
