The expansions killed it ¬_¬ pvp took skill back then, and the instumental beggining song is perfect for a rogue ganking video, its nice and mellow with a good beat.
Actually in pre tbc wow pvp didnt take that much skill(especially rogues) at all, since you could kill everyone with 3-4 buttons. The real deal was seasons 2-4(even though druids dominated), the gold time of all mmorpg pvp.
Wotlk is a step back to no-skill times when you could kill people with 3-4 buttons. Hopefully things will be better.
oh really, in 3v3 rogue/mage/priest really took skill? or 2v2 druid/hunter? please, they just out combo'd everyone. Warriors had no chance anymore as they could be cc'd to hell. season 1 and 2 they did alright, but s3 and 4, no chance.
there was alot more variety in pvp back then. it wasn't all about skill but fun as well. back in the day there weren't synthetic battlegrounds or arenas, the fights were all world pvp which was alot more personal. also the rogue strategies pioneered during this period are the basics nowadays. and theres plenty of skill in this video, the end where he kills the entire BRD group. 9:35 for example which is a perfect use of blind and vanish+ambush during bleed ticks.
theres a bit of showoff of numbers and crits, but you have to realize he was one of the first with these weapons-- no one was seeing these numbers at that time, it was the best gear availiable
Ah thats very true, i guess (me having a rogue myself) that most of what he did is common knowledge these days, didnt think that he could be "pioneering" so to speak these moves and things, i understand what your saying, and only wish this kind of world pvp still happened, its a shame that pvp has moved away from outdoors, thats for sure.
For sure there are some good things about both pre-bc and post, perhaps they combine the twos positive aspects in WotlK. :)

I fail to see the skill im afraid.
not trying to offend or poke holes in the "olden days"
but all i see here is ambush, backstab.
I just feel that it takes a lot more skill to take your opponent down post-TBC (using opener combos, setting up an expose armour ect).
Just my thoughts really.
