with all due respect, what he fails to understand is that when using a parallel stroke with english is that you need to adjust your aim point. This is not deflection that is causing the ball to miss the pocket so far right and left, it is a product of poor aiming.

@digdonkey I don't fail to understand at all. I simple don't want people to guess how far from the intende contact point they should aim. I've player with and studied hundreds of pro players, they aren't parallel bud. Snookers transplants come closest but after a while even the adjust due to the amount of spin required in rotation type games.

Bhe completely changed my game. using parallel is very effective but impossible to make consistent aim adjustments. At 3/4 table distance with 1 1/2 tips english required an aim line of full 1 1/2 ball off of cantact point at medium speed and a regular squirt cue. Parallel is utterly dependent on stroke speed for consistency. impossible. Bhe takes allmost all the variables out of the shot.
