i am just a beginner and i am picking up it up[very slowly] but i am having trouble with soloing and barre chords and sweep picking and tapping and all that good stuff. The list goes on an on.
i've been playing for about 7 years now or so. just practice. i suppose you like this style of music... i play anything. but mostly prog. neo-classical good stuff. so sweeping and tapping is really useful for me. just some advice, make your practice worth while, so to speak. not just doodling around. i mean, it's the same as practicing the troublesome part of a song over and over rather than playing the song over and over. anyways, sorry for the long comment.

You practice every day for 3 years for at least 8 hours a day... that's how I got so good. You gotta have an understanding of what your doing too.
