@SgtMustang - You obviously don't play the game. It's really impossible to play well with vsync on. My LAPTOP screen can go 75Hz, lower resolution means smaller crosshair which means more precise aim.

Ok, I have quite alot of experience in Counter Strike first of all.

V-Sync only stops tearing on a screen. And yes, there are some exceptions where LCDs go 75 hz, although it's pretty much useless.

And NO, resolution does not increase clientside aiming ability, the only function of resolution is to fit the game onto a different size monitor.

@SgtMustang Think you misunderstood, I didn't mean lower resolution would make more precise aim by itself. The crosshair gets smaller, which helps people aim better "aim small, miss small". And you're wrong about the V-sync, don't know how to convince you. I do agree with you though that he shouldn't mess with the global settings. He should only mess with the half-life settings. I suggest you should try doing these settings and then tell us how you feel... cuz there IS a huge differense.

They usually play with low screen res because those res can be played in any computer, the reason is so they won't feel weird playing in another computer, pros usually play on 800x600 or 640x490

Lol, he needs to go to the start menu and shit to change sensitivity, my Logitech has a sensitivity button on it, so I can change it from low to high based on the circumstances, gotta love Logitech...

Does he even know what all that shit does? He must be stupid to not turn on Aniostropic Filtering, all it does is make textures look better at long range.

Besides, it's always best to just set the settings in the control panel to application controlled, so each game is fit for performance better.

I suggest after restoring the defaults on your Nvidia control panel that you go to your steamapps directory and into the counter-strike folder

(Default: C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapp\*USERNAME­*\Counter-Strike)

After finding your way there, go and delete this folder known as "cstrike".

When you next launch CS it'll take a few seconds to restore the cstrike folder(fresh install)

After doing that you might want to mess around in nvidia's control panel again just to check if the restore worked.

o dude thanks but i found out what the problem is....when i was changing the 3D settings i accsidently pressed "Set SLI Configuration" which made my Vertical Sync to go on...i switch it off and my cs was working fine :)tnx by the way dude i don't use Steam...but thanks
