I can think of no better example of the absurdity of comparing one guitarist or band to another that this. Does it make any sense to say, for example, that Jimmy Page was better than Hendrix, or Clapton better than Fogerty? Notice all the foot stomping, hand clapping and singing along in the Creedence/Fogerty concert videos? Fogerty's music has a beat and rythm that you can dance to. That has been key to its popularity and longevity.
vocals r very good but i think it lacks the punch and grit that this song had when it was ccr. It sounds very cleaned up and almost too perfect in my opinion

John seemingly singlehandedly crafted Creedance with his powerhouse of songs and direction; with a voice that has always remained golden and has thankfully never aged,and that suits him well in his solo career....rest in peace Tom.
I remember in 1988 this song was running in my head right before a drunk driver hit us on HI-105 outside San Jose, Ca. It was almost like a warning to me when God made me remember this song and I was praying and God took care of us though my young son was injured he is fine today!

his borther Tom fogerty was the rhythm guitarist. john got into a fight with the record labell and he felt that stu cook the bassit and doug clifford the drummer took there side.

Michael - that is their monitor. when you perform, the sound that goes into the audience is called the "house mix", and it is balanced to produce the best sound for the audience, but the musicians need to hear themselves. For concerts, instead of speakers on the floor, the musicians have a custom earpiece fitted to their ear, usually it's wireless, attached to a receiver in their pocket or on their back, and the earpiece acts as the monitor.

Actually the bass player and drummer play together in a band called Creedence Clearwater Revisited, they performed a free concert this last summer in my hometown of Albany, Oregon.......they sound good but the vocals still arent the same without Fogerty

I saw and heard him live. His voice is stuck in a narrow range and if he goes out of it either way he gets in trouble. And all the "guitar hero" guitar swapping is for nothing because he misses notes and hits wrong notes and was out of tune. I never heard the other 3 or 4 guitar players except barely on maybe 3 songs. He rapes my childhood by destroying the CCR songs live. CCR was a lot better, look at the videos.

Excellent point! I spent nearly 20 years as a DJ and a lifetime as a drummer, NO ONE has ever even come close to doing this song justice. Once in a blue moon, a band comes along with a sound so uniquely their's that it simply cannot be duplicated. That has never rang truer than CCR and "Bad Moon Rising"!

Weak voice ?? What Not. He has a very big voice. Ofcurse he cant sing like he did when he was 20-30 years old in CCR but com on 50 years on stage and still going strong world wide . Like to see you people work so long and say each day its still fun !!!!!! Fogerty Rules

It`s John Fogerty singing his own song BAD MOON RISING !He is 62 years old and his voice is way more powerful than most singers half his age.

i did go and felt bad for him and me. his singing was weaker than here where it has been dubbed over for tv. the band was loud and distorted. i had to leave before the show was over. over 200 dollars for two tickets wasted.

I saw and heard him live. His voice is stuck in a narrow range and if he goes out of it either way he gets in trouble. And all the "guitar hero" guitar swapping is for nothing because he misses notes and hits wrong notes and was out of tune. I never heard the other 3 or 4 guitar players except barely on maybe 3 songs. He rapes my childhood by destroying the CCR songs live. CCR was a lot better, look at the videos.
