I did this quest today and it was INSANE! I fainted once, but barroth, great jaggi, and qurupeco were all in area 4 fighting me! And the barroth was HUGE!! And ANGRY!!

you talk about getting helped by large monsters during fighting, but i'm pretty sure that only the great jaggi and great baggi (anti christ) are the only monsters that directly attack other bosses

i like how monsters hurt each other this one time i went gathering honey in moga woods and started fighting rathalos and rathian when rathalos was weak they both went back to nest and when rathian roared rathalos shao a fire ball and killed her it was awesome kinda wish i killed her though

In one of your other videos, you mentioned Barroth Mud Patterns. I don't know too much about them but , it has at least three. One is shaking mud forward but stopping quickly as to not leave the legs vulnerable. There are at least two ways that it shakes mud all around. If you stand at the back left of the tail with the Switch-Axe, you can use up and down 'chops' as long as the Axe barely touches the tail. Arena quests teach you a lot.

anyways how well does the sword and shield block? im thinkin about trying one out. btw im stuck at this lvl where i need to kill these creatures underwater and this giant dragonlike creature keeps commin out of nowhere and 2 hits me. any advice besides "DODGE!"? cause its hard :|

I was fighting a rathalos offline, I only had one potion left, one LBB and 8 SBBs, and cha cha was nowhere to be seen. I managed to get the EZ shock trap from veggie elder, so i was going to bomb him. When I places the bombs down and was luring him into the trap, he shot a fireball directly at the trap. However, cha-cha managed to spawn right infront of the trap (In the bombs) and died. The LVL 3 charge from the trap killed the rathalos though.

You will be missed, good fello cha-cha ;(

What a coincidence! The only time that I ever did this quest, I too had to face a Barroth, Peco, and Great Jaggi. However, I went through the trouble of killing them all, and I did have to fight all 3 of them in the same place for quite a while.

I believe I was using a Buster Sword at the time...

@SocialDissonance It was very painful, and I had a very difficult time. I got lucky in a number of instances and it was how I was able to win.

I think Peco is probably the smartest monster, in that he runs away quite quickly when something tougher than him is around.

@Azel247 I was a newbie. I had no idea I could eat at the canteen, didn't understand armor skills, and did nothing but infinite combo with the great sword. It was especially bad when two monsters are in the same area...I would just get obliterated. I was determined to finish this quest before taking on lagi though, which delayed my progress by a couple of days.

Killed the Jaggi really quick , then the Barroth wanted some. By the time the Barroth was in rage mode Quru wanted some. I had all their dead bodies in area four by the end of the quest.
