I realise that this music has to be played at a certain tempo. But this was much to fast. Therefore lacking emotion. If the violinist and the guitar player work on this together it will be fine. The violinest sounded a bit flat during the early piece of the score.However improved as the progresssion of the score continued.

Sad.. I'm not a good violinist, and this guy is definitely better than me, but to play this at a recital :/ man you need more practice I'm sorry. Tuning error every couple seconds at least. Keep up the hard work and maybe you can go places, you've obviously invested quite a bit of time in it already :)

The brand probably affects the tone more than tuning.

Intonation is mostly influenced by temperature, technique, and the strings.

I would say the violinist is experiencing bad nerves and that can effect intonation and everything else. Tense hands don't handle bowing well and the left hand can get tight before reaching the position. The intonation problems happen in scary sections. Don't give up! More experience playing in public may help. Play easier repertoire in concert until your nerves are more in control. Good luck!
