at 2:31 you said "press...", what did you actually press to make that appear.

And, just after that, how did you change the size.

since it's a brush you just press with your left mouse button. To make a brush smaller or larger you use the bracket keys.

You can do it by either holding down the shift key or the ctrl key and then selecting the layers in the layers pallet.

if anyone is having troubles doing lense flare, make sure when your opening the new blank file make sure you have it on RGB mode^_^ hope i helped a little bit

No you don't need any plug ins (however you can get one, which should be really good). I really have no idea why you don't have it. Is it not there? in that case try reinstalling :)

First of all thank you :D As for the lensflare not working, it's probably because you try to use it on an empty layer. Try to create a new layer, fill it with black and then try ;) I hope that does the trick :)
