Worrel is a tough man he's the size of a mountain! Draw... if Twist had longer arms he would have been able to handle that girth. If Worrel was better on his skates he could have stayed with Twisty.
damn i really miss the voice of the legendary ken wilson....wish he was still the blues announcer he was one hell of a guy who really cared about the game.
Many fights in hockey are not good because it is difficult to stay on skates and many fighters just hold their enemy jumper, than both go down on the ice and the fight is over
who twist? scared? really! lmao!!!! Actually, someone made a comment once that they read Worrell said, his knees were shaking when they fought! thats humble of Worrell to say that...
twist couldnt reach him! thats why he spun him round, twist didnt lose. He was'nt guna turtle or hug him, so grab him & over power him! Quick thinking on twists part i think, cause they coulda just stopped throwing & let refs come in, but twister made the fight fun & entertaining to watch as usual...?...!
I live in south florida and have been a panther fan for a long time and I have seen him fuck up alot of people, I don't know what you are talking about.
yeah oglala doesnt know what he's talking about. he rarely lost, he's not as exciting as someone like paul laus, tie domi, or darcy hordichuk, but he did the job for sure. he was only embarrassed like once or twice out of hundreds of fights and won most of them.
Lol you guys are completely blaming it on Worrell's skating abilities. You gotta take into consideration the fact that Tony Twist MANHANDLED his ass to the ground.
I have a hockey DVD where players were talking about the fear factor in fights, and Worrell refered to this fight with Tony Twist. He said "My knees were knocking". lol.
I hate spin-o-rama fights. Once guys start spinning, you rarely see a decent fight. Oh, and the racist pieces of shit that post comments on YouTube are depressing. Shutup you ignorant rednecks.
Are you kidding me? I remember Gassoff, and he was a big-mouthed, red-neck, who never fought any of the real heavyweights of his era. Guys like Brashear, Chara, Laraque and Probert would have handed him ass on a platter!!
can't be...it was me buddy. And oh yeah...I was the one who taught Twist how to fight. I also taught Howe how to use his elbows......wait!!...that would make me about 120 years old.
Twist completly just ducked Worrell there. No doubt he spun him around as fast as he could trying to knock him down so the refs would jump in after taking 2 of Worrell's punches.
lmao you're an idiot. Worrell held him away because he didn't want to get hit! Twist was far tougher than Worrell. You must be a loser Panthers fan! lmao
you obviously know nothing about hockey fights! When twist spun him down he was about to SMASH worrell's face in. I'm a bruins fan, and Twist is ahead of any Bruin and is definately a top 10 fighter. You are obviously a jackass newbie fan who probably likes the Panthers! lol fucking assclown!
Twist is good fighter, but watch alot of his fights and youll see spinning/strength and overpowering guys. Yea he was good (not saying he wasnt) but he was a "wild swinger" who missed alot. He had good power but was a wild swinger! A young Probert (Detroit days) was def better fighter than Twist! Probert was a better all around fighter!
@CDD hes definitely in the Top Ten Enforcers Post 1980. I always have to seperate the enforcers from Old School NHL and the New Pussy League. Around 1980 we saw the last round of the real badasses enter the league. Its been all downhill after that.
@CDD I'm a big twist fan, and am willing to admit that this wasn't his best fight, but he his one of the best enforcers of all-time! How many enforcers in the NHL make such an impact on the game that HBO's Real Sports does a special about them? I can only think of one person, which is the Twister!
Probert was a bum. Twist was the best all-around fighter I've ever seen. When Twist got someone at arm's length, he made Probert's punches look like love taps.
Fair enough, but I'm talking about being an enforcer. Wwhile I believe Twist was a better fighter, I am definitely not stupid enough to try to defend his offensive ability. Twist could have left his stick on the bench and no one would have noticed or cared.
Yeah I know. Worrell was lucky that Twist never got an opportunity to unload the bomb on him. If Hordichuk could drop Worrell (which hew did), Twist would put him in the hospital.
You call this a fight?

Twist was the one instigating the spinning to
utilize his lower center of gravity to get a
larger opponant with higher center of gravity off ballance.
So if by "gay ass" you mean fairly intelligent strategy that defeated a larger opponent you are correct.
