hey ronenk :) Ive just ordered my GT2 (mclaren0 adn wanted some decent tyres for car park bashing. Are you saying the tyres that came with is only lasted 10 minutes? Any tips or links you cna point me to on how best to break it in? cheers
dont get me wrong, the tires come with the car are EXCELLENT!! and will to great once get heated up a bit.
my problem was the engine, it was too powerful for these tires and rims.. one of the rims actually broke in half while drifting in full rev but i did like the grip on them.
break in: you must take your time with this, have 3 tanks on minimal and steady rev with open fuel screw, enough for the car to move around (smokes a lot and shoots fuel out the exhaust), rest between tanks
than you close half a turn, another two tanks same way
than again..
on the 8th tank, close it more and start revving it around.
i am sure the manual will say something about it but thats how i do it. how you will treat ur engine now will determine its life span.. good luck and have fun.
no, i only used full rubber, and regular on road with foam inserts (they lasted less than 10 minutes), as far as foam, i actually couldn't find any, i am not in the US.
