Believe it or not I only know of Bob James through his album of synthesized baroque music (Rameau). He has created another album featuring works of Domenico Scarlatti (The Scarlatti Dialogues), but it's out of print. The Rameau album is phenomenal!

This song is weird. Has a bit of a disco feel, some smooth jazz, a touch of the 70's porn music vibe, and a horror motif going on in parts. My mind is sufficiently blown :)

Crikey. Been through quite a few Bob James tunes now, and heard parts that have been used in so many songs from the past 15-odd years, that I wondered who did it first! Loved all the tunes so far too, Bob James, the man's a genius!

Actually, Missy Elliot used Peter Piper. So you're partially correct. The 808 bass track in place of the original percussion and JMJ's scratching confirms it.
