They are not 'like any other horse' I have a Peruvian a cousin of the Paso..just like a breed of dog..they are very intune to their owner. and smooth..don;t think they can't canter..and I would have either one any day..the Paso, Peruvian, and Icelandic are all born gaited ..the TWH'S etc are a man made breed...
Paso's are amazing. I own two geldings. One is 21 and still going like a yearling! lol

That's because Pasos are gaited, and a gallop isn't in their natural gait sequence
