  • Thank you! =)

  • could have kept to teh first camera angle, i leanr by looking not listening

  • after you go to the first chord shape for the secong time it gets confusing? You say play 5th open third fifth? In the fist chord shape I didn't have a finger on 5th also what is "open" third???

  • @aey20 G

  • you dick... i was trying to figure out the first transition for hours and it turns out it"s not second finger 4th string 7th fret... It's the third string you fucking misleading retard... and it's much easier to use your first and second fingers.... get ur shit right nignoramus

  • @zigzag9mag this lesson is accurate...sounds perfect to me. its difficult to get your head around at first using the finger picking but thats only a minor set back at the beginning as i'm sure you found out.

  • IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO FINGER PICK!!!

    :(

  • This is very clear - nice one ! more like this man..

  • confusing

  • Umm he didn't have to do a single thing here. It's from the cd that comes with total guitar. Also has But Honestly, Stranger Things Have Happened and Long Road to Ruin. So congratulations awriteyeare for deceiving so many people :)

  • omg, chill out. its not like he said that he made it.

at least hes helping people who want to learn it who dont have the cd.

  • that's great man, awesome, keep it coming

  • sweet thanks, that helped alot :)

  • omfg what an amazing voice!!!!

  • Im willing to bet thats not his voice

  • you fantastic explaing man

  • .....that was badass

  • Mate you are sicko at this.

I have been trying to do this for ages, and reading the tabs made me clueless. I can play every other foo fighters song but this one just stumped me because I was using my 3rd finger instead of little one. Now all I have to do is move two fingers down, then up, then slide down then up. Simple!

  • Very well done. I'm just barely starting up guitar and i'm going to use this video to learn the song.

  • Very nice. :) The only thing you didn't mention is that you slide up a beat earlier every other time, but that is obvious once you play the riff yourself at the end.

    excellent tutorial!

  • I have to say again you are the greatest. this lesson is perfect. your camera angle, lighting and instruction are WAY beyond what I have come across on you tube to date. are you a professional video guy or muscian? this video is your best. please keep them coming as I am huge fan of this latest album and ff in general (red hot chili peppers too). I'm even working on "home" on piano. Dave would be proud I know.

  • Perfect lesson man! It's nice and slow and very detailed. If only everyone can post extremely helpful videos like this.

  • Thanks for the lesson.

  • Thank you! It's so nice to see someone with really great technique who understands the importance of being accurate.

  • dude its dead on

  • eeee

  • Professional quality. Thanks for the lesson!

  • what about the other part?

  • hey thanx man. i dont really play guitar and just from watching it thru once i can play it right, even tho its a little slow!!

  • sweeeet! Helped a lot

  • ne chance of you teaching me the chorus of this song with another video? that is the bit i am stuck on.

  • thanks for your help!

  • thats not clear on the 3rd chord or its fingerpicking...

  • when you played it slow, you added an extra note after you played fourth string fifth fret, open third and back to the fourth fret... after you did that you played the open third... then in the fast version you didn't... wtf

  • great and helpful video, took me some time to get it down as a beginner but it sounds really good. Could you do a tutorial on the other riff part of this song acoustic so we get the complete part of the song? The riff goes up havent seen any good videos on here to learn it, thanks!!
