  • Chemical Brothers aren't underground. They've been in the mainstream for nearly two decades. They worked with many artists, including Oasis during their commercial peak, and have had multiple number 1 albums in which most have gone either platinum or double platinum.

  • if you look at this as music, then you need help!

  • @djredmon1990 this is a great musique ! so please stfu or don't listen to it if you don't like it !!

  • @romanodeskyrock i didnt not mean this in a mean way! i look at this song more then music!!!

  • @djredmon1990 ah ok ;) sorry ^^' thought you were insulting the music :P if you like it then it's good ;)

  • Don't say that about Louis's pills!

  • I really love Tim Smith's vocals, I'm so glad they collaborated on this. Midlake is amazing too, this song is just so perfect.

  • Anyone that knows addiction so be able to personally connect with this song.

  • masterpiece :D

  • Dont show this to Louis! :D

  • After all these years that I never could figure out knew why the brothers made a song against drugs and now I realize when I was making a 'natural' thing, I see that they didn't mean drugs by saying 'pills'. They actually talk about synthetic things of course, no one is against exploring the new eras of our brilliant brains, they just say be careful and they are right.

  • I LOVE IT__!!!

  • I honestly did not believe that music could take you on a journey untill i heared "We Are The Night". I can picture different moments in my life to every song, i was seriously lying on my bed smiling, laughing and crying untill the end of the album

  • Sounds like Thin Yorke singing...

  • this song is a poetry dedicated to all of us.

  • Poetry

  • children stay away from the drugs they are mine, really stay away from the drugs especially from the pills and other anti depressents, eventually they will destroy your life, i learned it on a hard way, they took my best friend away

  • @intersanctum what took her away? did she die you mean..?

  • @GiveMeMyWelfareCheck she died of a heart failure, she was mainly on pills ( 20-40 of them on a daily basis, some days up to 60 ( tramal, helex, normabel, heptanon, suboxon, xanax, and so on and on), it's interesting she never was on a needle, she was taking them since she was 12 she died last year she was 29, she left behind a child 5yrs old, childs father died year before, it's a really sad story, so when i see someone poppin that pills i'm so angry

  • good song

  • heard this on skins<3,, wish the chemical brothers had more songs like this

  • FINALLY FOUND THIS SONG OMFG<3333

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND!!!i look up a song by them because it was on vanilla sky... but then i lisened 2 the other songs and they are soooooo good! 07-04-11

  • its amazing how Chemical brothers can connect our complex emotion and transcends and represents it in a tune! i always amazed of how many people actually feel exactly like i do in many of chemical brothers moody psychedelic tracks

  • This song makes me nostalgic for things I haven't experienced yet.

  • @aarmero perfect description

  • The music itself is cool, but I don't understand the lyrics. If someone is poisoning their body, they are definitely not "all right", so why ask? It's like asking the driver of a badly smashed car, "is your car undamaged?" He'll just look at you as if you'd said "The moon is made of applesauce!". And why would crying cause medications to not work? If a medication doesn't work while crying, it likely doesn't work while *not* crying either. In short, cool song, but puzzling lyrics.

  • @lonewolfintj don't think about it 2 much mate, just enjoy it...it doesn't have to make sense...

  • @lonewolfintj I think it is more to think about it ... what would you do if your friend do this , u would ask for the reason, don´t u? I dont know if it is right, but I would also ask the person if everything ok, I think it isn´t right to confront the affected person. it would be to hard in my mind. maybe they mean something diffrent, not the case that the person really poisoned(taking drugs), maybe an other situation ....like you said, puzzling lyrics ;)

  • @lonewolfintj The pills are anti depressents. And he means that even though your on anti depressents there not gonna be able to fix it everytime your crying.

when he says your probley poisoning your body. he means doing drugs and alcohol.

when he says i hope your all right i think he means mentally stable (like no suicidal)

inleast thats what i got out of the song

  • @lonewolfintj hes saying i hope youre alright, hes not asking them.

  • Tim Smith's vocals are awesome

  • It is called fua

  • I think if I had to pick only one song to listen to for the rest of my life, this would be it.

  • this song is so nice and catchy yet so depressing. been in my head all day, making me sad. D:

  • Well the pills help a lot when I'm not used to trust me haha

  • koj ke stisne dislajk da gi izede site gomna

  • pills certainly helped me when i saw them live. had a fucking amazing time! haha

  • Such an awesome tune! makes the smoke sooooooooooo much better!!!!!!

  • I hope everybody is alright...<3 - Good Morning, Planet Earth! <3

  • I wish this song was also available as a pill ! Would cure everything!

  • So let me get this straight...there are people that "hate" this song now because it was/is on "Skins"... (I should probably look up Skins at this point.. I assume it is a TV show of some sort). Yup, just as I figured. If you perchance may like something, then someone else says they like that very same thing so you change you mind for only that reason, you are a major tool. You're the very thing you pretend to loath. Sorry, just so, you're a tool. =/ Get over yourself. Good track Chem Bros.

  • @hoon4tw skins is commercial, chemical are somewhat underground skins is about dumb ass kids doing drugs willy niley like childres who just got some candy its a stupid fucking show that takes way to many good songs to make the show seem better cuz its so shitty

  • 666 likes. Nice.

  • @IHateYouCauseYouSuck I hate you cause you suck.

Sorry, maybe if you wrote this on Google... When this song appear on skins ? Or not.. I'm helpness ! Or just hopeless XD

    Good luck !

  • @Katara55 Season 2 Ep9 When Cassie is taking her exams.

  • I love his voice. It has so much emotion. such a good song. it sort of reminds me of Massive Attack collaberating with Damon Albarn for 'Saturday Come Slow'. perfect combination of music and voice.

  • haunting... great song

  • It's a truly great song. It somehow works, the electronic sounds from the Brothers with that subtle melody and hurting voice, that sense of fragility. You can help but sing along, "In a moment of feeeeeear, you dig in your heeeeeels...". Awesome.

  • Simply beautiful, the song and the lyric

  • in one song they giving advice to get high in other pills wont u help wtf?

  • @sillencer9mm its a song they can say wtf they like. if your looking to music for medical advice.. well your obviously stupid, and there unfortunately (for you) is no cure for that

  • @sillencer9mm Getting high doesn't necessarily involve drugs. Try breakdancing.

  • its beautifully sad

  • SKINS sounds track rules :D

  • This song just brings all sorts of emotions. Every time I listen to it, there's just this something in my chest that rises up and you can't help but feel sad, but somewhat relieved. Especially at the 'I hope you're alright' part. How many of us wish for someone to come along and ask us that very question? Especially when you feel down. You want to hide that you feel upset, but at the same time you crave for someone to take notice...

  • @MercyChan its called emotional manipulation sadness, your not alone. use this to keep you strong, for you feel

  • @MercyChan who are you?...god?....right now i'm going through the "i hope you're alright" thing..

  • @MercyChan ...I hope you alright! :D

  • @MercyChan so fucking true, its in all of us. Thats why movies make millions and millions, we want to help and be helped, comfort in sadness is also a powerful aphrodisiac as well. If a girl were crying and I could help, then that would make me feel good inside as well, and also somewhat more attached / in tune with that person. Even if they are a stranger, so if you see someone down dont be afraid to ask them "Are you alright?" putting your fear and insecurities aside will make the world better

  • @MercyChan Thank Midlake then.

  • @MercyChan stfu you little whore stop talking shit

    最高です。優しさを感じます。

  • monreader this song and saturate and surface to air are good, where do we find more of this kind of chem brothers work? As that is their best I have heard. Not so keen on the psychedelic or purely house stuff! I like electonic music. What albums do they make songs more like this?

  • It really sounds like "Midlake"! Can't believe this is a song of chemical brothers :) I like it!

  • thats because the singer is midlake!

  • @dreamsurrie You know its Midlake right? Tim Smith?

  • I AM A BEAR

    RAAAAAAAAWR!

  • can someone help me understand the lyrics better?

  • the pills robbed us of a fortune, gave us disappointments in life, probably poisoning our bodies, i hope your alright....

  • It actually goes like this:

They robbed off your fortunes, gave dissapointments and lies, you're robably poisoning your body, i hope you're allright.

  • God so amazing! I miss the brothers

  • the brothers approach music as, metaphorically albeit, transvestites from the future are drawn towards marmite-clotted handcuff. this is, of coarse, a profound allegory of social unrest amongst latin-america. need it be said? the chemical brothers recognize the futility of day-to-day life in the modern setting and this is, no doubt, a by-product of their use and abuse of pharmaceuticals. the pills, truely, will not help you now but, alas, they will help kill the boredom of daily routine.

  • very good comment :D
