I am an owner of the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country as of November. And its truly a great vehicle. Rides and seats nice wonderful for my family of four. Beautiful inside and out.
The Town and Country is one of the best looking Smaller Vans ever built to date. With the optional swivel seats and table, it should be a Van to consider buying when you are shopping for one. Especially for the kids. I would. The interior is not bad either. I am a fan of the Town and Country.
My wife and I test drove the Town & Country, the Sienna, and the Odyssey. I just didn't like the Chrysler van that well, especially with the interior leather and panelling. It was all pretty cheap especially compared to the Odyssey. I felt the stow n go was actually worse on the T&C compared to the Odyssey. We ended up going with a Odyssey EX-L and we absolutely loved it. We paid about $2,000 more for the Odyssey then the T&C, but I would have paid $3k more for the quality of the Odyssey.
they dont mention that if the second row seats were rotatable, they do not stow away. If they stow away, then they will not be able to rotate, you have to choose one or the other.
this is a great car, I sell them. Very rarely do we have customer complaints. I wish that when some people post they learn proper grammar and spelling. see the next post for a great example on how to write intelligently.
I used to work Chrysler's Shop not any more Thank God To be honest they worst piece of junk in the market. I drove this Chrysler entire roof trim was sagging on this new minivan According the Ap news it is only company which does not any fuel efficient( more than 40MPG) vehicle in their line
worst performing car in reliability
I am so embarrassed to say this every product they rolled out it just tanked in sales Not single hybrid product in the market and not even the pipeline
um, it's hard to understand what you're saying considering your grammar is equivalent to that of a 5th grader's. I'm sure the car wasn't that bad, but judging your username, it's not up to your standards, right?
Freakin' Excellent commercial! I especially like how the seats take a bow at the end of the show.
I really feel bad for vanderundershorts, that's a a whole world of bad luck. But for every van that had transmission problems there were hundreds that didn't. I'm on my 2nd used Chrysler van and no transmission troubles. But at the same time, I have noticed that there has been a surprising amount of Honda Odessey and even Toyota Sienna transmissions that went bad.(check some of the blog sites)
Of course, don't show us regular people your old regular dull WWII battleship gray and army tank green interiors. It must be nice to afford this luxury edition shown here. Thanks anyway.
Looks like Chrysler just took the leftover GM minivans that didn't sell and put their own ugly interior inside. Besides stow-n-go, it'll be the same crap I'm sure.
"one of the best" define best. Best at breaking down? To have your first generation minivan with transmission issues is dismisable, but to have every generation since have the same transmission issues, that's offensive.
Oh come on, you must own a Chrysler/Dodge dealership, you're so full of crap. First generation '84 we had, the tranny went at 88K. We replace it (stupid of us) with a '90 Grand Voyager and that went at 99K. My former bosses company Caravan (cargo) 1998 went at 80K. My brother-in-law's (told him not to buy it) 2001 Grand Caravan is having transmission issues now at 90K. My luck with having and knowing people with Chrysler minivan's with bad transmission can't be that coincidental...
As reference, if you happen to think those numbers are "good" '95 Honda Civic LX, 230K still running, '92 Acura Integra GSR (manual) with 210K still running...
I'm sure consumer reports has something to say about your "there aren't transmission issues to be accounted for in the past few generations" comment. There is a reason that Chrysler has been loosing market share, it's called the competition has better products !!!!

According to Edmunds and many consumers who have bought this exact vehicle - it's a piece of junk.
That's to bad - it has great potential...

acully, the rotate version (swivel n go) its only exclusive to Limited version, and stow n go its just for the others [exept Base version]

trans problems usually come because of no trans services. around 40 to 50k the AFT+4 is already oxidized
